Elemental Evolution (D. S. Bradford song) move from users pace draft to article. edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Userspace draft:Elemental Evolution (D. S. Bradford song) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Elemental Evolution (D. S. Bradford song). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.

Disambiguation link notification for August 19 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited D. S. Bradford, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Punk and Pop. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

August 2016 edit

Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to D. S. Bradford. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!!   Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Warning for adding reference spam on multiple articles for a website that you have also created an utterly promotional draft article about. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not free advertising space! Draft:PopWrapped edit

Just an FYI. breitbart.com is not considered a wp:reliable source. You should probably find other sources. See WP:RSN. Note results are not in chronological order. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 05:28, 13 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of PopWrapped edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on PopWrapped, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Proposed deletion of Good for the Gander (film) edit

The article Good for the Gander (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film, only sources for the film are press releases and self-published trailer, no independent coverage per WP:NF

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. BOVINEBOY2008 10:26, 2 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

DS Bradford edit

Do not move that back into draft again to avoid AfD. If the article "wasn't ready" as you claim, why were you beginning to re-add the subject to lists like this and this? OhNoitsJamie Talk 00:34, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

It was an honest mistake and still learning the order of things and how lists work versus categories. There seems to be some hostility towards this subject. THBAO (talk) 00:40, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

No hostility, just a mild distaste for attempting to use Wikipedia as a PR platform. As with before, you can make your case at the AfD. OhNoitsJamie Talk 00:44, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Not sure what is meant by this, as no PR is involved. A few fans, myself included, gathered information over the years and did our best to be thorough with cataloging. There were other news sources from American networks, and that is what we are currently looking for, as we noticed another artist here with now defunct links and we wanted to avoid that. We have zero experience with PR. It does seem like you might not like the subject and by the accusatory tone, rather than simply being neutral and non-aggressive, it has turned me off from continuing to contribute to Wikipedia with this subject or any in the future. Thank you for your time. THBAO (talk) 01:04, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Given that 99% of your contributions were related to Bradford, I'm OK with that. OhNoitsJamie Talk 01:14, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

We were just getting started with learning how Wikipedia works with a subject that we knew about to contribute. We started with Bradford and didn’t think to really focus on other contributions or edits and I didn’t know a lot about the process, so there was a lot of trial and error. I’m not exactly understanding the hostility regarding this. We’re all humans here. I’ve been respectful and you might not believe in that, but common decency is lost on you during this exchange. I’m not here to speculate about why you’re hateful, but the way you’re coming off is very aggressive with no regard for respecting, or at least being nice, to the other person. You might have come across others who have been dishonest or argumentative towards you in a hateful way, but I’ve done neither and don’t deserve that. THBAO (talk) 01:25, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

You've been "getting started" since 2014. Also, you should be aware that we don't permit shared accounts, which your use of the word "we" implies. Can you clarify why you are using that pronoun? OhNoitsJamie Talk 01:54, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes, getting started as in casually wading into the world of Wikipedia and judgement. “We” is used here as people sometimes point out news or improved sources and “I” the singular user on this account adds or doesn’t add to the article. Hopefully that clears things up for you, sire. THBAO (talk) 02:11, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
