Proposed deletion of T. William Phillips

The article T. William Phillips has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

self-promotion with no real evidence of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In order for it to be self-promotion, the author of the article must also be the person about whom the article was written. That is not the case here, nor is there any evidence of this. It has also been stated that there is no evidence of notability when the sources and references are clearly posted on the page. In order to accuse the person about whom the article is written of lacking in notability, you need to present evidence that this is such, just as the author has presented evidence proving otherwise. You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself, as you did at T. William Phillips. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. Hi, the page you made is great, and it may be able to stay on Wikipedia... but it can always be freely edited at any time by any neutral editor. You have to admit that you have a single purpose account with the same name as the subject. Anyway just sit back relax and if it all checks out the page may stay around in some form or another. In what way did it not check out? I have no problem with people contributing to the page I created, but you need to contribute by adding to it, not just blindly deleting everything. If I must prove and verify that it's necessary to put on the page, then you need to prove and verify that it is necessary to take it off. It seems very unlikely that anyone has had any legitimate reason to be constantly deleting the page. There is some sort of vendetta against it, and it's completely irrational and unwarranted. I would love others to add to the article, but please stop deleting information. There's no reason for it. And yes, I share the name of the article I created because I created a wikipedia account to create an article for a subject I have a great amount of interest in and have done a thorough amount of research on. I didn't think my screen name would be a problem. Should I change it?

Yes there are legitimate reasons to remove the page you wrote. Notability must be verifiable, the refs in your article are just paid book reviews. DO you have more 3rd party refrences that would tell us about T. Williams Phillips ? Are you T. William Phillips ? You don't have to answer that BTW. But T. William Phillips, uploaded the photo of T. william Phillips, with a licences that say "own work" with account name of T-Billiam. No your account name is not the issue, the simple issue is that, T. William Phillips in not notable, at this time. Please read WP:NOTE especially the part about WP:SPIP Slowart (talk) 15:19, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Final warning

Just as you don't write the newspaper and magazine articles about yourself, you also don't write the Wikipedia article about yourself. Of course, if there are factual inaccuracies, you are welcome to point them out on the talk page- or to fix them yourself, as simply as possible, while citing the sources verifying the inaccuracies. It's time to back off, and let neutral parties use the available sources to develop the article.
