Thanks! edit

Hi there! Thanks for your recent edits removing vandalism and fixing content removal and other disruption! It's really appreciated and we need more Recent Changes Patrollers out there! Keep it up... seriously!! Just make sure that you also take time to warn these users; else, they may not understand why you reverted their changes. You can look here for templates you can use to do this. After your account becomes confirmed, you'll be able to enable Twinkle, which is a tool that will do all of this for you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to message me on my talk page and ask them. I'll be happy to help you. Again, I wish you a warm welcome and happy editing! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:03, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not helpful edit

Thanks for the warning about vandalising a page of which I am the biographical subject. I was trying to correct the detail that some obsessive seems determined to keep editing and re-editing on the page. The whole thing has become a massive hassle and nightmare. Wiki is supposed to be about information but instead I am subject to what I infer to be soft harassment by a user I assume has some kind of ulterior motive. It was great that you helped them out though and made me feel even worse about the whole thing. I will just try to get the stupid article deleted if I can as it is quite frankly driving me to distraction at this point. Duncs1690 (talk) 02:38, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Duncs1690 - T`swift`rocks did the right thing. You removed content from this article without an explanation, then reverted someone elses edit when that editor put it back. I highly recommend that you read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, as editing articles about yourself or even subjects that you have personal involvement with is highly discouraged behavior. If you have issues with content that is on this article, you need to contact the Wikipedia Response Team by clicking here. They have the proper tools and training to identify you and assist you with your particular issues. Please message me on my talk page here if you need more help. T`swift`rocks may be a new user, but I see nothing wrong with what he did (other than stating that your edit was vandalism - it was not). He just needs some coaching and experience to identify the right warnings to leave. That's all :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:43, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Chester Borbon edit

Just a heads up on Chester Borbon. I speedied the article under A7 (no claim of notability for high school player, g-search not turning up any notability). But the prod would have been declined -- as tempting as it is, the article being a mess isn't a deletion reason.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 00:38, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Fabrictramp:Thanks, I didn't read that far into it, I was going to suggest userspace draft at least until it didn't have half-formed wiki markup showing in the article. T`swift`rocks (talk) 00:40, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Pro tip edit

If you use the default rollback/revert vandalism button, it leaves the name of the user visible. With some of the cleanup work you've done—and thank you for helping to clean the mess up!—it's better to minimize how many times the username appears. —C.Fred (talk) 01:21, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

And I've protected this talkpage for a day - no point in putting up with that abuse. I've watchlisted this page and the relevant articles. Acroterion (talk) 01:23, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
