Francis Crowder is a native of South Carolina.
Francis has a degree from Lander College and a M.P.H. from the University of Michigan. He has done done post graduate work in Business Aministration.
Francis founded Q.S. Inc. a Greenville, SC software development company in the late 1960's. The company specialized in Information systems for Public Health, Mental Health, Governmental Financial Management and Large Electric Utility Management. Q.S. was an IBM Business partner.
Q.S. Inc. is possibly the first company to design and fully install a statewide Public Health Information system, as well as the first statewide Immunization Tracking and WIC (Women, Infant and Children food program) support system.
Prior to forming Q.S. Inc. Francis had the opportunity to design and manage a pseudo demostration Public Health Delivery System providing primary care to selected patients.
