Welcome

Thank you ^^

Don't worry about anyone who is having a go at you or pushing you around. As long as you keep good with your sources then you'll be ok. Sometimes people like to take ownership of articles here and they don't like it when you say things that are pretty much right on but aren't a part of their mindset. Whatever evidence you give them will just wind them up and make them angry.

Whatever, you're allowed to edit Wikipedia, so don't let angry people scare you away. As long as you're good, you're good. Enjoy your stay! Hope you bring more interesting stuff to the project.

Music

edit

Yes, I know that young editors may think that I'm attaching them. My point is that this is an encyclopedia that aims to be a serious site, and not an indiscriminate collection of facts paetaining to popular culture. IDM and other similar articles that I recently tagged with a WP:OR template refer to musical scenes and/or musical movements, or to different styles within a same genre, and are not new musical genres. We have just less than 10 real musical genres, in musicology; IDM, and the various atmospheric forms of rhythmic music are just subgenres of pop->technopop. I am a fan of Aphex Twin, The orb and many others since early 1990s. just i find them more similar to Kraftwerk, notthing to do with brian Eno. According to musicological and academic methods this music should be called just "Technopop", or "Instrumental Technopop", or "1990s Wave of Technopop". Every kind of music can be "danced with", even the so called "discomusic and "dance music" should be called just "rhytmic pop" or whatever, haha. I would appreciate if you could forward to other users that I'm not trolling your world. I'm taking this site seriously. ^_^. Doktor Who 12:01, 15 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

History of Electronic Music

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have perfomed a web search with the contents of History of Electronic Music, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://k8er.wordpress.com/electronic-music-genres/electronic-art-music/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 05:08, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mr Robot. Thank you greatly for your link to a blog of the man who copied from Wikipedia. I am really happy to see it. I am very sorry that you are a very stupid robot bot. Thank --Susume-eat 05:11, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hi Susume,
If you wish to move the Electronic art music article to History of Electronic music (not necessarily a bad idea), you should use the "move this page" function rather than copy-paste, since copy-paste destroys the edit history and takes us out of compliance with the GFDL. Thank you! Let me know if you need help. By the way, others may not agree... but you can suggest it on the talk page. Thanks, Antandrus (talk) 05:28, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, someone suggest it already, two people agree, electronic music talk page... :) Sorry for trouble! I'm trying to move now... Let's see. Ok, have a sunny day... *super smiley* nobu

electronic music articles

edit

Please stop. If you continue to blank out (or delete portions of) page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Electronica, you will be blocked from editing.

This is a standard threat. I don't like this threat very much, it is not very nice, please do not bring this warning here like this in a threat, thank you. It is not welcome. It is very serious.

Your post here is not the serious at all: {{#if:You might have some good ideas about reorganizing the electronic music articles. But they way you did it caused information to be lost.

Electronica article has the no sources. None for that. The article is nothing but original research.

To change and merge several articles needs to be done carefully.

There is only OR in the article. The new one redirect to the Electronic Music. So simple this taske.

Please don't be in a hurry, discuss your ideas first. You might be on the right track, but you really need to slow down the major changes. Thanks.

My idea is remove OR on sight every time. Thank you and please do not make threats and then follow with poor argument...

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
