Edits to T-80UD article edit
Hi, regarding the message you posted on my talk page. I was just suspicious because I could not read the source, I wasn't accusing you of anything, please go ahead and undo my edit. Have you found any other sources for the extra 250 T-80UD that Pakistan is supposed to have ordered? I couldn't and I'm 100% certain only 320 were delivered. T-55s in Cape Verdean service edit

- I have had my own look around the internet for any proof that Cape Verde has or did have any T-55s and it appears that they likely never had any. But, on an older version of that page the following, unfortunately unsourced text appears:
- "Several light armored utility trucks and medium tanks were delivered by the Soviet Union right at independence. The status of these are currently unknown and are presumably to be out of service. After the Steadfast Jaguar exercise, NATO donated a few utility trucks to the army."

- Indeed so. Considering that Cape Verde became independent in 1975 it's entirely possible that they were given T-55s, as Russia had enough of them to give away at that time. Nohomers48 (talk) 02:57, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Hello again
I think there is something wrong in Type 59#Description :
- The commander sits in the turret along with the gunner and loader. The commander's hatch is on the turret left, with the gunner sitting forward and below him. The loader sits on the right of the turret and has a hatch above him.
and below :
- A Type 54 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun (a Chinese copy of the Russian 12.7 mm M1938/46 DShKM[3]) is provided above the gunner's hatch for which 200 rounds is carried.
It seems contradictory : Where is the loader ? Where is the gunner ?

- Hello.
- Like in the Soviet T-54, T-54A and so on, the heavy anti-aircraft machine gun is mounted on the loader's hatch. As far as I know there's no such thing as the gunner's hatch in the T-54/T-55/Type 59/ Type 69/Type 79 family of vehicles. It's most probably the loader's hatch called "gunner's hatch" by mistake.

"Military history" is one of the most important subjects when speak of sum of all human knowledge. To support contributors interested in the area over various language Wikipedias, we intend to form a user group. It also provides a platform to share the best practices between military historians, and various military related projects on Wikipedias. An initial discussion was has been done between the coordinators and members of WikiProject Military History on English Wikipedia. Now this discussion has been taken to Meta-Wiki. The article List of main battle tanks by generation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This article continually encounter edit conflicts due to the nature of these subjective rankings (national bias). Furthermore, the "Main Battle Tank" designation comes from the late 1950s, thus medium tanks like the T-54, M48 have no reason to be classified as 1rst Gen main battle tanks
