Proposed deletion of FOXP2 and Human Evolution

edit

The article FOXP2 and Human Evolution has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

More of an essay than an encyclopedia article. It also contains original research.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.   Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to FOXP2 and Human Evolution may have broken the syntax by modifying 3 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 23:46, 4 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

FOXP2 and human evolution

edit

Hi! Just to let you know that I reverted your edit. Please do not try to restore the article. It was already critically discussed (see the from FOXP2 and human evolution FOXP2 talk page here) and the resolution was to merge into FOXP2. Because it merely was a repetition, and particularly its information on birds, mice, etc. are entirely out of context. The merge was an admin work, and you have no authority to revert the action. And remember FOXP2 is not exclusive to humans, and thus deserves no special treatment in a separate article. Make your contributions instead to the main FOXP2 article.
