Italian comuni

Hi! I noticed that you wrote some articles about Italian comuni, and that you used some maps I created for Venafro and Agnone. I changed the names of these images, so I updated the links. If you want to add maps of other comuni, you may see here: I'm creating the SVG maps of all comuni of Italy. By now, only some regions are available (it's a big work, there are more than 8,000 comuni in Italy), but more will come in the future. Rick Harrison

Hi. Thanks for working to improve the site by creating the Rick Harrison article. However, some of the material you included in it had to be removed, because Wikipedia cannot accept unsourced material or original research. This includes material lacking cited sources, or obtained through personal knowledge or unpublished synthesis of previously published material. Wikipedia requires that all material added to articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. Some of these policies were cited in my edit summary when I removed that material, so unless you can dispute that rationale, please do not revert that edit, as you did here. I'm sorry if you took my message above the wrong way, but it's the standard message I leave for editors in first-time FYI WP:V/WP:NOR situations, which I've tweaked over the years to balance as politeness and friendliness with the necessary explanation of the relevant policies. They are hardly too verbose, and I've been using them for years, without any problems. They're necessary in situations where new or relatively new editors are unacquainted with those policies, which is why the community uses them and will continue to do so. If you don't believe me, feel free to ask other established editors.

All material in articles, especially BLP articles needs sources (outside of stuff like "The sky is blue"), and that entire section was unsourced, including both the personal info on his relationships, and Harrison's connections to those Presidents. I don't know why you would've assumed it was one or the other.

Edits do have to be malicious, slanderous or vandalism in order to merit polite user warnings regarding the relevant policies, and I don't know why you would think otherwise. When edits violate policy, it is standard practice to advise editors on this, and has been for as long as I've been here.

It also needs to be clarified that I never dissuaded you from contributing to Wikipedia. I merely advised you of the policies that required citation of sources, nothing more, and that reverting of another editor's edits required a valid rationale. Nothing more.

When you created this category and filled it up, the proper process would have been to remove the 'People from Murray, Utah' category from all the persons who were placed in the 'Mayors from Murray, Utah' category.
