Hello Srivin, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Sendhoorapandi has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. SQGibbon (talk) 17:40, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

Was this is test or mistake page? Or should the page be moved to Category:Indian film producer navigational boxes, so it is not in the mainspace? Thanks π♂101 (talk) 00:58, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 3

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Vendhar Movies, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lakshmi Menon. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Dharani (director)

Hi Srivin, Any specific reason you have made the changes of Dharani (director) by removing the Dhool (2011 film) and Rendavathu Padam from the filmography?.Vaidyasr (talk) 13:39, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

Yes, Dharani who directed Kannada film Dhool is a different person, here is the link http://www.indiaglitz.com/-dhool-remake-for-yogish-telugu-news-48546. Dharani who produced Rendavathu Padam is also a different person, he acted in Sathuranga Vettai as hero's associate, in this link u can see a person with beard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYPk2CsaG68

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:33, 5 December 2014 (UTC)

A few advises

Whenever you cite a film's DVD as reference, also do please cite the time of the event's occurrence, eg: Saroja (DVD). clip from 1:33:50 to 1:34:00. And do please clear your talkpage of unnecessary content, or archive them. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:36, 5 December 2014 (UTC)

I agree with you sir, but problem is i am not so well versed with timing of occurence so i simply write the name of the film sometimes youtube does not carry few films. Please tell me whether can i post youtube link to the articles.

A barnstar for you!

  The Editor's Barnstar
For expanding many classic Tamil film articles, particularly Apoorva Raagangal. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:02, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the barnstar sir, really i am feeling very much happy that i got my first barnstar for the article "Apoorva Raagangal" and other articles for which i had expanded. I've been in Wikipedia since November 2013 and this is my first barnstar. Thank u, without u and Thamizhan1994 support i couldn't have achieved this possible. Reason for mentioning Thamizhan's name i mean i tried to expand the article similar to you and him. By the way sir one question, i feel that casting section had tad too importance to Rajini and the details regarding his casting in his film. Don't you think in casting section i gave too much importance to Rajini. Isn't it any wrong ? (User:Srivin) (User talk:Srivin)
No problem at all, as long as the content is written neutrally and supported by reliable sources. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:32, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
Thank you sir, I am a 20 year old boy from Tamilnadu who loves to edit articles relating to films. Sir, one thing, I had expanded Kamal's Guna, can you tell me whether i did a better job in expanding it. (User:Srivin) 20 December 2014
Yes, its great. And please sign your posts by typing "~~~~" and clicking save. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:47, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
Sure sir, one doubt can you please tell me that regarding Guna and Apoorva Raagangal, articles of the film or the way i have edited and expanded the article, does it deserve it to be GA or FA or do you feel that these articles still lack something to be called as GA or FA. (User:Srivin) "~~~~"

Apoorva Raagangal

Just at a time when this article was massively expanded, we lost KB  ; yes it is GA worthy, but it can use more sources. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:03, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Yes i agree but i couldn't find any sources, can you help me in expanding it. I feel hindu is the reliable site for the sources. Did Dhananjayan mentioned about the film on his book ? Srivin (talk) 17:07, 23 December 2014 (UTC) 23 December 2014
Yes, he did. Please provide your mail ID here, and I will mail you the pics. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:09, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
No, it would be better if you expand the article with those sources i feel that you are doing a good job in expanding the articles including the sources from the book. I would be happy, if you expand it. Srivin (talk) 17:15, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for expanding Apoorva Ragangal. I hope you will actively participate further in the process of making it a GA along with Kailash29792 and Ssven2. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 19:04, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply, i am definitely looking forward to make this article as GA. Srivin (talk) 07:36, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

Mayyam

If that forum page contains images of newspaper or magazine pages, please use them and do not credit the forum page over here. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:19, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

Ok sir, but i dont think it contains too many images, most of them are written in the site. If you see the article of Thillana Mohanambal, in critical reception, review from Ananda Vikatan is actually linked from Mayyam. com and that link doesn't contain any images as you mentioned.

My Days with Baasha

Do you have that book? If not, how are you able to correctly cite the page numbers in Annamalai? Kailash29792 (talk) 08:56, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

Well, first of all i dont have that book at all, not only this book but also other books related to films, i referred the details from google books in which page of particular chapter is referred, i typed out those page nos out of guess, can u please tell me whether i had given correct page nos in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Srivin (talkcontribs)
Checking under process, will take some time...   Kailash29792 (talk) 08:56, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

Happy New Year Srivin!

Thank you thank you so much for the wishes, 2014 for me was a great year indeed. I have managed to expand articles of various films, without you and Kailash's support this wouldn't have been possible. Wishing you a very very very happy new year. Srivin (talk) 07:55, 31 December 2014 (UTC)
