July 2020 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Draft:Nookazon has been reverted.

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Minecraft into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI! 15:44, 30 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Navbox edits edit

Hi Squid45,

I've reverted your edits on both {{Animal Crossing}} and {{Pikmin}}. I see you're fairly new here, so let me explain why. For the Animal Crossing navbox, in your revision, Plaza was moved to the bottom, while it's the first released spin-off title. A link to the Animal Crossing characters article was already there. We try not to use Unnecessary Capital Letters, so changing "Other media" to "Related Media" is incorrect on both accounts. As a website, Nookazon isn't written in italics. You moved Nintendo Land to the back, while it again was released before Mario Kart 8. You added links to Wii Music and WarioWare: Smooth Moves, but there isn't any mention of Animal Crossing. For the Pikmin navbox, in your revision you added another group; splitting the previous "Related" into "Elements" and "References and Other Apperances" (sic). It's unnecessary to do so. "Elements" is rather vague, for instance, how is the real-world Chaenostoma cordatum an element of the Pikmin games? The other group would have had two entries: Nintendo Land and Super Smash Bros. and they are still "related" to Pikmin. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 14:15, 6 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ah I see. Is it possible that I could tweak the templates with those ideas in mind? Squid45 (talk) 14:45, 6 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Could you elaborate? I'm not sure what you mean, I don't see what could be salvaged from your edits. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 14:56, 6 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I was planning on adding Nookazon to the {{Animal Crossing}} template, but I saw you had already done that. Thanks for your help. Squid45 (talk) 14:59, 6 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Redstone (Minecraft) edit

The article Redstone (Minecraft) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a Video Game Guide, and this page does not belong here without meeting WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Redstone (Minecraft) for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Redstone (Minecraft) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Redstone (Minecraft) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 18:25, 15 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please don't move pages while they have active discussions. At best, this creates confusion about page state and at worst it can be seen as trying to game the system. —  HELLKNOWZ   ▎TALK 12:55, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Crewmate (Among Us) edit

Hello Squid45,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Crewmate (Among Us) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Impostor (Among Us) edit

Hello Squid45,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Impostor (Among Us) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Hamilton: An Animal Crossing Musical edit

Hey, Squid, I've noticed you have had Hamilton: An Animal Crossing Musical on your radar for article creation. As a Nintendo and Hamilton fan I fully support this.

However, I would hold off until the entire project is completed. You might come across a lot more sources then. Panini!🥪 22:06, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

That’s great User:Panini!! Thanks. Yes, I’ve been thinking about it for quite some time but I decided to wait until the project completed. When it does complete, would you be interested in helping me out with writing it? Squid45 (talk) 06:37, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
