Public request for help with draft writing regarding Civil War (band) and Sabaton (band)

edit

Those who have been pinged, and those who are stumbling across this for some other reason, this is a public request for assistance with writing articles related to Civil War (band) and Sabaton (band). The desired drafts are redlinked on my userpage. Your usernames were taken from here. Apologies if this is against policy, if it is please feel free to remove it. I'm doing this on my own talk page for ease of centralized discussion. Now for the mass pinging.

Thanks for the request, unfortunately I don't have the time to help, best of luck! Yellowxander (talk) 15:41, 23 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hello! Thanks for this request. I would love to help you out! How can I help you? The Young Skeptic (talk) 19:20, 27 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
The Young Skeptic, first off, thank you for offering to help. Second, on my userpage, there is a list of redlinked drafts. Basically what I would like to do is turn those links blue. They're all either current or former Sabaton members or Civil War albums, except one. If you can't find any sources, etc for them, feel free to remove them from my userpage and tell me why in the edit summary. TL:DR, help me create some articles. Thanks again for offering to help, and if you have any questions, you can ask here and I'll get back to you ASAP. I'm busy with personal stuff for the next week or so so I won't be on as much as I normally am, but I'll certainly be here in the evenings. Squeeps10 Talk to meMy edits 19:30, 27 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Also, I'm going to archive my talk page and copypaste this back here, so apologies if you get pinged again. Tanks, Squeeps10 Talk to meMy edits 19:34, 27 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
EDIT 3: Revamping the way I archive, I've removed the pings but everything else is the same.

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Michael Bennet 2020 presidential campaign a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Michael Bennet 2020 presidential campaign. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 02:52, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

My apologies for this warning, in case you don't like templated messages. I understand what you were trying to do, and encourage you to keep working on this article. I have requested a histmerge on the page. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 02:53, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much, and I apologise for making a mess of things. Squeeps10 Talk to meMy edits 02:58, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and I don't care if you template me if there's a good reason. This was a good reason. Squeeps10 Talk to meMy edits 03:03, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Joakim Brodén. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Drmies (talk) 14:12, 12 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Drmies You can literally Google it. If you want it "verified" so badly, (which isn't even the correct term), you are capable of doing so. It would take less than 10 minutes with a half decent internet connection, which I do not have. Just look up the song name and source it with a <ref></ref> tag. Squeeps10 Talk to meMy edits 21:51, 12 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
No. That which you are saying suggests you do not understand what WP:V and, especially, WP:RS are about. That's OK--someone with fewer than 500 article edits can't be expected to know everything, but perhaps you can consider that you don't know everything.
