NoodleTools

edit

I have added a "prod" template to the article NoodleTools, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Ali 18:11, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Don't worry about it, I won't delete the article - if you feel you can establish notability as described in WP:ORG, you can delete the prod template and work on the article (if you don't remove the template, the article will be automatically deleted in a week or so). I suggest you read through Wikipedia's inclusion criteria, that will help you determine what articles would be good to create and improve upon. Good luck to you, and feel free to ask me or another editor for help whenever you need it. --Ali 19:17, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I removed the prod notice. I think you should be able to satisfy the requirements - I did some web searching of NoodleTools and was able to come up with relevant sources. I can also help you source if you need it. --Ali 19:24, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
WP:Footnotes does a good job of describing how to create references that jump to text - have you seen it yet? --Ali 22:32, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi!

edit

Well... I copied the toolbar off The Transhumanist's user page design help - and modified it a bit. You're free to copy the toolbar as well... I can help you have one on your page if you wish.

The Tip of the Day can be added to your user page by entering totd or totd b. The Wikipedia Signpost can be added by entering Signpost-subscription. I arranged the userboxes in a table - you can find userboxes and learn how to add them add by going here. Ali (t)(c) 20:39, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey!

No problem Spunky, ask me questions anytime! You know, I am part of the adopt-a-user program, so if you want I can adopt you as an editor. Ali (t)(c) 04:32, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, that's not true. Changes on Wikipedia show up immediately! I will put a userbox on your user page indicating that I have adopted you... you can add other userboxes if you would like. Ali (t)(c) 01:19, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
You can add userboxes by finding the ones you want here, and then putting them between the About Me and Userboxbottom on your userpage. Ali (t)(c) 01:26, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I don't mind at all, ask away! I'm always glad to help fellow editors - and now that I have adopted you... it's kind of my obligation :P
I'm not sure which image you want to add... but you can add images by placing the image name in between two sets of brackets - like this: .
To customize the image (like resizing it, etc):
Use this syntax:
Here, "Image:AIM Ad Hack.jpg" is the name of the image file, "right" indicates that you want your image on the right of the page, "thumb" means create a thumbnail (you generally won't change this), 320px indicates the pixel size, and "AIM Ad Hack Setup Screen" is the caption.
Typing this syntax into a page yields:
right|thumb|320px|AIM Ad Hack Setup Screen
While the original syntax - :Image:AIM Ad Hack - yields:

Image:AIM Ad Hack.jpg.

I admit, it's a bit complicated, but if you want to read up more, you can do so here. Of course, I can always place the image for you if you like. Also, I placed your userboxes in an invisible table - it keeps them more organized! If you don't like how I did it feel free to change it back. By the way, your userpage shows we have some things in common - I also have a betta fish (I called it "Oscar"), Queen and Gorillaz are two of my favorite bands, and I like to run :)
Have a good one Spunky! Ali (t)(c) 06:22, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I did the same. I was on the cross country team for a short while, but the practices were way too long, so I quit. Now I just run for myself, and I'm hoping on taking on a race or marathon in the near future! Before I do that - I need to get back into shape, school has been making me kinda lazy :P Ali (t)(c) 02:09, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sex and the City

edit

For sources, you put any website or media that you got information from. You should definitely mention the website that you got the casting from as a source. You can also source the actual video. WP:CITE describes when and how you should cite sources - and WP:FOOT describes how to make the footnotes on a page. You can find templates for citing souces at WP:CITET. Again, this is a bit complicated - if you have questions, you're more than welcome to ask - and if you give me information on what you used to create the article, I can cite it for you. Ali (t)(c) 07:05, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

You were close - you need to enclose the references in tags, and then put a <references/> tag at the bottom of the page. I did that for you, so no worries. Sorry I haven't been online frequently, I've been busy with graduation stuff! Ali (t)(c) 04:20, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Haha you're fine - I can already tell you're learning quickly! Good luck with your last couple of days - hope your finals aren't too difficult! Ali (t)(c) 03:22, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Rocket Dog Rescue

edit

The problem with Rocket Dog Rescue is that it needs information from other reliable sources rather than Rocket Dog Rescue itself. Information about sources can be found here. Hope that helps! Ali (t)(c) 21:47, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Horse & Pony Stories

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Horse & Pony Stories, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add db-author to the top of Horse & Pony Stories. B. Proposed deletion of Werewolf in a Winter Wonderland

edit

The article Werewolf in a Winter Wonderland has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Book which fails WP:NB. No significant coverage in reliable sources, and author is not notable (Carolyn Keene is a pseudonym which has been used by 10 or more authors).

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing dated prod will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Claritas § 12:32, 13 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Survey

edit

Hi Spunkycopper!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you!
