Recent edit to Margaret Sanger edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Margaret Sanger, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! My reply, as was posted on your talk page as well:

You reverted my edit, saying I didn't cite a reliable source. But everything I added was already supported in evidence and sources within the same wiki page itself - and I referenced to the appropriate section: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Margaret_Sanger&stable=0#Eugenics

Which talks about her support for eugenics as well as her claim that she supported reducing birth rate for lower income families.

I did put it in a link in my addition, to the word eugenics:

This claim as well as her opinions in favor of eugenics such as reducing birth rates for lower income families, are often used to support this highly controversial point of view.

You mention there is no reliable source - please explain, no source for what part of my edit? There is a whole section on her support for eugenics. I linked to it. You can't argue against that since it is in the page itself.

Please reconsider, either bring back my edit, provide another comparable text, or explain specifically which part of my edit is wrong or lacking a reliable source. And if you do think there is no reliable source for my edit, please explain how this entire section is still on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Margaret_Sanger&stable=0#Eugenics

Otherwise, you are just proving the point that this page is very biased and unreliable.

I'm just trying to get rid of some of the heavy bias tone in this article. Keeping it as is only hurts wikipedia's reputation IMHO. Spetel (talk) 17:46, 2 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

January 2019 edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in abortion. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi David, thank you for your review. I am not sure what needs to be done based on your review, could you point out some specifics? You wrote: Previous issues about claims not being supported by the references have still not been addressed. I added more sources, all of which are from reliable, unbiased local news media or reputable news outlets. Can you be more specific which claim specifically is not supported by a reference? Perhaps I can either change it or add a reference to support it.

You also wrote: Multiple references regarding a claim are not necessary and should be removed. I don't understand, either I have too few or too many references... how does having multiple references counts as a bad thing?

I'd appreciate if you could get into specifics a bit, that would help a lot! Thanks. Spetel (talk) 15:55, 4 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
