Speedy deletion nomination of غلامرضا حسنی edit

A tag has been placed on غلامرضا حسنی requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. October 2015 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Aziz Sancar, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. clpo13(talk) 17:58, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is This user won't quit removing content. Thank you. clpo13(talk) 17:59, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Space.lion: The content which I removed are added this morning after the Nobel prize news. They are not correct and should be removed and the page should go under protect by Wiki with its previous content.

Please bring this up on Talk:Aziz Sancar and provide your rationale for why the sources provided aren't correct. Wikipedia operates on consensus and, since your edits have been challenged, you should discuss them with other editors. Otherwise, you risk being blocked for edit warring. clpo13(talk) 18:19, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Space.lion: I think enough is talked on Talk:Aziz Sancar and the newly added content violates the original content. This is so stupid to reduce Prof. Sancar's scientific work and his glorious prize to some foolish ethnicity issues. Then I request the Wiki admins to control this page and protect it from some unrecognized editors (including me) to edit it. The added information are not proved and shouldn't be published to a public wiki page.

Space.lion: I think this phone call from Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to Prof. Sancar regarding his Nobel prize is enough: https://soundcloud.com/nobelprize/my-wife-took-the-call-and-woke-me-up-aziz-sancar-on-being-awarded-the-nobel-prize For him the science, humanity, his native country (Turkey) and the country in which he is living (USA) are important.

Request reason:

I connot believe this. I am suggesting to remove the unrelated contents and just stick to the science, prize and Prof. Sancar's work and I am editing his page's content to the best of this, but I am getting blocked! The added content, which are added this morning after the Nobel prize news are done by editors supported by some illegal groups. They have every kind of resources, including the financial source, which make them able to edit these pages easily. However, in my case as a simple editor, I am getting blocked. I hope that you understand this situation and not only remove my block, but also protect Prof. Sancar's wiki page from violations made by this violent groups. Thanks in advance! Space.lion (talk) 19:16, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Textbook case of edit-warring despite numerous warnings to stop. If you resume edit warring after this block expires, the next block will be for a longer duration. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:36, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You've only been blocked for 24 hours. I've started a discussion on the talk page in order to determine what information is properly sourced and should be included. When your block is up, you're welcome to join the discussion. clpo13(talk) 19:44, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Turkic Council into TURKPA. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:29, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
