The Elms

Most of what you had was unsourced material, or links that just pointed back to the article. Most of the stuff I removed here was unsourced; you don't need to list every band an artist has toured with unless it's a significant tour (e.g. "band x joined band y for the entirety of band y's summer 2010 tour"). Furthermore, removal of unreferenced material about a living person (or living people in this case) is generally acceptable. Also, it's proper English (at least American English) to use "The [name of band] is..." since you're referring to the band as a singular unit. Hello. Fair enough regarding the list of bands that The Elms have performed with; but because The Elms are still relatively unknown to many, it seems that establishing artistic and stylistic community by referencing other artists is something that a new reader could derive insight from. Also, using your logic that we don't have to list every band an artist toured with, why did you delete every single one, including high-profile events like Farm Aid 2008 (which can certainly be referenced)? All other bands' wikis reference their most high-profile performances. Regarding the English "is" vs. "are", it's simply a matter of proper Queen's English vs. more modernized American English. I'm more concerned about a growing, accurate knowledge base about a band that many have never heard of.

Regarding the statement "formerly known as 'Just Visiting'" - this is an erroneous statement, even if you've found reference to the contrary on AllMusic (AllMusic's information is incorrect). It is true that two members of The Elms were once in a band called Just Visiting, but The Elms is not simply a new incarnation of that band as insinuated by "formerly known as". Until adequate reference and factual presentation is made about these matters, they're misleading in their current form and should be deleted.

I am aware that you've got much more wikipedia experience than most, but I'm an enormous fan of The Elms. I've known their band members personally and can contribute very clear information on the band's existence (and in the future, will work to reference better). I've done nothing to you personally, I'm not sure why you feel the need to use terms like "clue-bat" when addressing me. I'm happy to discuss these matters with you, but ask that you please refrain from using petulant vernacular. If you simply apply your vast and obvious wiki understanding (where I, and others, lack knowledge) and our commitment to The Elms and succinct English (where you lack knowledge), we can certainly arrive at a credible and factual article. • Thanks for the help. The reason YouTube was used as a source is simply because it can be used to accurately show the exact upload date of a video. Still not allowed? I can remove if you wish.
