English edit

Changing an article such as Dead centre (engineering) from British English to American English or vice-versa is frowned upon and may get you blocked from Wikipedia. It causes long edit wars where both sides think they are right and wastes everybody's time for no gain. WP:ENGVAR details this.  Stepho  talk  21:55, 28 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Fiefdom edit

That's your opinion. However, I have an English degree. I win. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snippert (talkcontribs)

I'm assuming that's a degree in American English. How does that apply in an international context? You are, of course, welcome to take it up at places such as Wikipedia:Village pump (policy) or Wikipedia talk:Village pump to see if you can get the rest of the English speaking world to use only your particular variety of English.
Also remember to sign your messages by adding 4 tilde characters at the end of your message.  Stepho  talk  22:21, 28 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

February 2023 edit

Hello, I'm Loafiewa. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Talk:USS Enterprise (CVN-65) have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. (Personal attack removed) Snippert (talk) 03:33, 5 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Loafiewa (talk) 03:48, 5 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:USS Enterprise (CVN-65). Loafiewa (talk) 03:22, 12 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

This is bullying pure and simple. Snippert (talk) 01:30, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
