Guy > Gai

Due to the fact that both the English anime and the English manga use the translation "Might Guy", that's the translation used here. This is the English Wikipedia after all. Geg 02:51, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

edit: Doh, my bad. I completely misread the edits you were making. Geg 02:53, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Akatsuki debut

It depends if they said something. Even if you cannot see them, they are having an effect on storyline but yes arguably you can't even tell its really them. Also I'm not sure if Debut is more fitting than First Appearance.Darkwarriorblake 00:37, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

"Debut" is used on all other Naruto articles, so it seems more fitting. Snapper2 00:39, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Can I add a certain technique to Kabuto

I believe that Kabuto is able to use Vanishing Facial Copy Technique due to the fact that when he used the Dead Soul Technique, he stitched his own face onto one of the ANBU Black Ops he had murdered. See: proof. HE even had it used in the anime, except with no stitches showing. In the Fuuma filler arc, Kabuto's face was being used to guise Kagerō. Watch that episode too as proof. Please answer A.S.A.P. so I can add the Vanishing Facial Copy Technique onto his jutsu list. Thanks, Kabuto Yakushi (User talk:Kabuto Yakushi)

Explain this [1]. User:Kabuto Yakushi (Talk:Kabuto Yakushi)
Then explain to me... HOW IN THE HELL DID HE MAKE AN EXACT COPY OF HIS FACE, GLASSES, HAIR, etc. User:Kabuto Yakushi (Talk:Kabuto Yakushi)
Really, how did Kabuto do this [2]? There is no such thing as Voo doo or magic in Naruto. Give me a better answer than that crap. Kabuto Yakushi (User talk:Kabuto Yakushi)
How did he surgically mold his face without even using his face? Kabuto Yakushi (User talk:Kabuto Yakushi)

Am I not allowed to make it sound nicer?

Yes, I admit it, I was the old Dragonball guy, now I changed. I needed a new start. Please answer my question. Thanks... Kabuto Yakushi (User talk:Kabuto Yakushi)

Order

I shall teach you the mysterious ways of the ordering system. It's simple really: alphabetical and by type (anime only last). In cases such as Naruto Uzumaki, I group the related ones together. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 00:12, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

How 'bout this?

Why did you remove my Sexy Jutsu which was the uncut version of it made by Naruto? You piss me off by doing gay things like that. User:Kabuto Yakushi

Why do such comments not surprise me? Could probably be tagged as a sock by this point. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 22:42, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Adding it at the sock page would be good. The use is obvious, and he admits it on your talk page. It's a sealed deal. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 23:00, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
I've commonly witnessed the original account being the one the user is forced to keep. That he keeps a carbon copy of his namesake on his userpage would seem to necessitate limiting him to the former. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 23:12, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes. Go verbosity! I'm actually not quite sure in this case, since he has used the Kabuto account consistently, but I'd say his first account is the one he should be using. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 23:34, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

That is just more of an advantage to those who know the truth, and yes I edited anonymously but not for the months you claim. Regarding edits made on October 22 2006

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from an article. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. --KojiDude (Contributions) 05:11, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Oh, sorry about that. You should've made it a little more clear in your edit summary, though.--KojiDude (Contributions) 05:23, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Zarbon

I noticed that you know the process, and I really don't have any time to figure it out and actually set it up, so could you deal with setting up the whole sock-puppet thing for Zarbon who is using Recoome, 72.227.129.181, and 149.68.168.154 to avoid his block? Any proof can just be seen by looking at the edits, and the fact that they all respond to Zarbon. Nemu 17:22, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

I think they're all socks. (Just a harmless thought) Power level (Dragon Ball) 15:29, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Notice this...

I don't think you've noticed it, but I am no longer a sockpuppet, puppet master, etc. Lord Deskana has authorized me to have a completely new start. So, if you can bear with me, please appreciate that I've changed (for real this time!) and only hope to improve the Dragon Ball series articles and any others I see along the way. I won't argue any more about images and whatnot. And also, I believe that each character can have a variety of images of them placed about relative pages since I see it as entertaining (and funner to see more images of them). There is a limit of how many articles can be placed on a main page, which I am aware of now. Happy Halloween! Power level (Dragon Ball) 15:29, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Another thing, please stop calling me '86 or Dragonball since I don't go by those names anymore. I am not a sockpuppet and I'm not pulling any more strings. This is me, Power level (Dragon Ball), no strings attached. Power level (Dragon Ball) 21:15, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

A suggestion...

I see why you, Someguy0830, Pentasbyllic, and others removed most of the techniques off of the :Main article: Naruto characters since the recent Naruto:talk has occurred. I have an ample suggestion: "Why not still keep ALL of the techniques they've used and said they could use in the manga and anime respectively, yet place a bold text on those signature jutsu we've seen them use and still utilise from time to time? I think it's useful to know the jutsu they know and used at least once and it's a shame to find out that their minor techniques have gone away. I really think that someone should start a new discussion on Naruto:talk and please see that this idea ain't that bad. However, if there is an adequate reason that perfectly explains the removal of all the other techniques, I won't argue with this any longer. (Please mind my grammer if it's that horrible). Thanks! :) Power level (Dragon Ball) 18:05, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

See when there was a session, I always had a question...

Um, I've noticed this before and my homedog wanted to know also, who put the info for Anko's suicide jutsu (Twin Snakes Destroyer) that "two snakes are summoned and bite the wrist of both user's killing them with deadly venom". It was somewhat like that. Is there any verification on this or is it just fanon (fiction)? Please answer me back A.S.A.P. (As Soon As Possible) Power level (Dragon Ball) 17:50, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll ask there too. Power level (Dragon Ball) 18:19, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, but I just found this funny. You tried to correct that chakra blades addition and somehow replaced the article with the article on the flags of Columbia. Wonder how that happened. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:29, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

I fixed up the first two paragraphs of the article. So what do you think? I'm starting on the characters sections now. Please help me fix it if you think it's still worded strangely, but don't just revert it. Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 14:49, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Tagging pages for speedy deletion

Hi. I've noticed while patrolling CAT:CSD the great work you have been doing patrolling new pages. One thing you may want to consider doing, if possible, is using the boilerplate warning {{subst:nonsensepages}}, {{subst:nn-warn}}, etc, that the speedy deletion template gives you to warn the user who created the article. As an alternative, for an article that was created in good faith, you can use {{subst:firstarticle}}.

Leaving this message on the user's talk page serves several purposes. To the good-faith contributor who is unfamiliar with Wikipedia's policies, this template answers their question, "what happened to my article". Also, in the case of a legitimate article topic that is simply lacking an assertion of importance or some such thing, this warning may allow the user to make necessary changes before an administrator deletes the article. For the vandal who is just here to cause trouble, this warning allows an administrator considering blocking the user to see what other unhelpful contributions this individual has made.

Thanks for all your hard work. --BigDT 01:16, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

I've noticed this too. You might want to take a look at Wikipedia:Vandalism as well. — Nazrila 00:16, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Edit summary on Gaara

Unhelpful?

Is adding more pictures unnecessary to Naruto pages? I just feel they are too boring and need more pictures to keep readers more satisfied. Breezedayoungking89

Add the request to my talk page, and type of picture you are looking for from the Naruto Anime series. An episode number would make it easier for me to find. Also include the article it should be included in. I'll then look into adding a picture when I get the time. — Nazrila 01:40, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Why is it a pointless image? Power level (Dragon Ball) 03:49, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Cool. Can you put it there then where the 12 whatever paragraph is mentioned? orfud tagging

Hi Snapper2, good work with tagging orphaned fair use images. Just a reminder to please let each uploader know with {{subst:orphaned}}, just as a courtesy note. I am going through the category now and deleting images, and am letting some of the uploaders know now, but it's a bit stupid to let them now that their images is going to be deleted in 7 days... after I've deleted the image. :) Thanks, and keep up the good work! – Riana 07:01, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Regarding Plot of Naruto by arc

I had this written on the relevant section of the Naruto episodes discussion page, but...

Why'd you give up? Those were pretty good. The only big negative thing that caught my eye was the extent to which battles were described. If the particular move or evasive action is especially relevant (such as Naruto's massive Shadow Clone Jutsu vs Gaara, and Naruto catching Kabuto's kunai to hold him in place), it ought to go on there. However, minor fight details (such as Kabuto deflecting Shizune's needle with his headband) are far too freqent and thus clutter up the article.

Anyways, do you think it would be better to divide the fillers by season? Of course, if an arc gets cut by the season break (for example, the Raiga Arc gets caught between Seasons 6 and 7) it should go in the season with the majority of its episodes. Let's say the Idate arc gets lumped into the Sasuke Retreival Arc, due to it influencing his decision (in the anime at least) while having absolutely nothing to do with the previous arc. After that, the fillers can be divided as follows:

  • Naruto Filler Arcs (Season 6) - This should cover:
    • The Infiltration Arc
    • The Mizuki Strikes Back Arc
    • The Bichokou Arc
    • The Raiga Arc
  • Naruto Filler Arcs (Season 7) - This should cover:
    • The Bounty Hunter Arc
    • The Bird Country Arc
    • The Sea Country Arc
    • The Treasure Hunt Arc
    • The Hidden Star Arc
    • A section dedicated to the one-episode comedy fillers intermixed throughout (all under one header):
      • Survival Plan
      • Green Beasts
      • Burning Pot
      • Money Element vs True Element
      • Hotspring Village
  • Naruto Filler Arcs (Season 8) - This season had a lot more one-episode fillers, and some of them are no longer for strictly comedic purposes. My dividing scheme here is odd, so it's probably going to be changed, but this article should cover:
    • The Kiba's Long Day + the Legendary Onbaa episode + the Laughing Shino episodes (under one header)
    • The Konoha Moving Center Arc (second header)
    • The Chubby Paradise + the Lee's Dojo + the Haunted Castle episodes (third header, etc)
    • The Third Great Beast arc
    • The Konoha 11 arc
    • The Best 5 Battles episode
    • The Kurama Clan arc
    • And the Kacho Fugetsu episode.
  • Naruto Filler Arcs (Season 9) - This article should cover:
    • The Shinobazu Arc
    • The Menma Arc
    • The Shiitenshounin Arc

That's all I had there. To continue...

Perhpas a Naruto Filler Arcs article could serve as a brief overview of the fillers, their cause and effect, and so forth, as well as serving as a disambiguation for the articles above. So in total, Plot of Naruto/Plot of Naruto II can be divided into (perhaps with better titles...):

The List of Naruto story arcs page can serve as a directory to these, and perhaps include information about the then-ongoing arc before a definitive title can be given.

If you need any help on any of the main arcs for Part I (and the first season of fillers), just ask. Wikipedia is not at the very top of my priority list, but I'll be glad to help out when I have time. You Can't See Me! 23:04, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I have a revision of your summary for the first arc, currently the first version of my sandbox. Have a look at it for now. I still think there's room for improvement, though. I'll begin work on the other arcs soon. You Can't See Me! 06:51, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
I was reflecting on the problems that are getting Plot of Naruto II deleted. The big issue was incorporating real-world information. So, I just had an idea: Rather than making these into "plot summary" articles (which are generally frowned upon), we can make them "episode list" articles (which are generally accepted) by simply relocating the episode boxes? Check the current state of my sandbox for the draft of List of Naruto episodes (Introduction arcs), and tell me what you think! You Can't See Me! 09:35, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Hm... I'm trying to decide between making this an arc summary or following the Bleach list's lead. My goal is to make this detailed enough that individual episode articles can disappear, but not so much that it gets nailed for the stuff Plot of Naruto II just survived, effectively merging the Plot and Episode articles.
Anyways, I revised it a bit more, so that it now has all of Season 1's episodes. So, 1st season is current revision, and 1st arc(s) is somewhere in my history. I can't decide what to go by. What's your opinion on the matter? You Can't See Me! 07:20, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
As you recommended, I killed- I mean, banished the extra headers to the Shadow Realm. As for, compiling all episodes up until 106, I couldn't do it. On its own, the page is at 38 kb; halfway through Season 2, it was already at 58 kb. Bleach's episode list is at ~140 kb, and Naruto has nearly twice as many episodes. I don't want to end up with a 300 kb article, so I think dividing by season is best. Anyways, I'll leave List of Naruto episodes (Season 1) up for a bit longer before I replace it with Season 2. You Can't See Me! 08:36, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

I've combined Season One and Season Two. Have a look over it. I still have to fix a few technical aspects (mostly the stuff at the top of the page and kanji titles for Season Two episodes). But in the mean time, have a look over it. I don't know if a user can edit another user's sandbox (I've never tried), but if you can, feel free to make a few revisions where you deem appropriate. I'm still planning on shortening some of the longer episode summaries. You Can't See Me! 07:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the revision. I have moved all content to List of Naruto episodes (Seasons 1-2). The first version on the history is my last revision to my subpage, the second version on the history is your revision to it, and the third version on the history is my revisions to your revision. Your Edits to Kurenai Yuhi

That pic of Kurenai and Itachi is relevant to the page, since there are not that many pics of her on Wikipedia, and it is a good pic anyway. I don't undertand why you think it was needed. Illusionary Dragon Nine Seals

Why did you vandalize that page! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sunburntpenguin (talkcontribs)

Okay I see what your saying and am sorry that I thought you were vandalizing it (I didn't realize that the merge had already happened), but in the decision page you might notice that after the first five bullets there was a sentence saying "I don't think we should delete the page but create a plot summary". What you did was pretty much delete the page since all of its contents were gone. If you want me to, I will shorten the plot summary but we should at least keep the infobox that has release date information since some people DO want to know that kind of thing —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sunburntpenguin (talkcontribs)

You don't seem to be categorizing the orphaned articles by date properly.[4] As the orphaned template says, the proper method is to paste {{subst:orfud}}. –Gunslinger47 06:38, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Jutsu migration

Hey again, Snapper!

Er, I noticed that you begun migrating jutsu descriptions onto character pages. Are you sure that's the best idea? Granted, the way that it was beforehand seems a bit crufty, but moving every technique description to the pages of characters who use it would clutter up the article quite a bit, especially when you get to characters like Kakashi and Orochimaru.

I don't quite have a prepared solution just yet, so continue if you want. Just don't delete the pages (turn them into redirects if you need to) so that we can access the page history if another idea comes up.

Regards. You Can't See Me! 06:24, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

I just thought about that for a second, and I partially take that back. Most of what is on character pages at this point are simply regurgitations of the plot. Those can be significantly shortened and eaten away at until only the crucial parts remain. Then, the background/personality/etc sections can be expanded, and the rest of the article can focus on fighting style. I'm still a bit skeptical, though...

What I'm concerned about are plot pages. The ninjutsu pages were a way in which we could easily just drop the name of the jutsu without having to explain in detail what it does so that the reader can follow up if they want ("Kakashi gathers chakra to his hand and charges up his Lightning Blade"), or to give a brief description and allow the reader to find out what it specifically was ("Sasuke seemingly ends the battle with a blast of fire to the ninja's face"). Without a grand list, we'd have to link to the character's "Fighting Style" section and hope that the reader understands which technique we were referring to. This gets worse when linking to characters in lists, which will not have a separate "Fighting Style" section. I have a few other concerns, but this is the large one. You Can't See Me! 06:47, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Jutsu Inclusion

In keeping with the inclusion of a Gentle Fist section, a Strong Fist section would be applicable, but aside from the Eight Gates and related techniques, practically all the relevant taijutsu moves are simply variations on kicks with little difference between their names. Heck, some are merely more powerful versions of others. Should they be included, or just a mention given to the fighting style? Sephiroth BCR 05:53, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Eight Gates, Front Lotus, Leaf Gale, Leaf Great Whirlwind, Leaf Rising Wind, Leaf Strong Whirlwind, Morning Peacock, Reverse Lotus, Shadow of the Dancing Leaf, and Strong Fist itself. Now that I look at it though, it really isn't that much. I was likely making assumptions. My issue was that all the Leaf [Insert Name] attacks were simply various variations on a kick. Then again, not that much variations exists with other things that are included, so I'm being hypocritical. Ignore that =/ Sephiroth BCR 22:51, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
That seems to work better. Thanks. Sephiroth BCR 23:03, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
