Reverting blatant vandalism is not covered by 3RR

Just a heads up that that other user is stalking round all my edit of this morning emptying categories out of process, in explicit breach of CFD rules. Their activities are purely destructive. Countering vandals is a duty of every editor. Note the ad hominem attacks in their edit summaries, and sometimes even zero edit summary.--Mais oui! (talk) 14:45, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Just a heads up that the above editor is engaged in a very long running campaign to systematically remove references to the United Kingdom across this project. They are a Scots nationalist working for Scottish independence. Of their very large number of WP edits a high proportion comprise simply going through articles and mindlessly removing references to the UK and UK cats. Some of these are appropriate, many are not. This has been discussed before, I believe at an RfC before I joined WP. I will try and find a link to the discussion. Rangoon11 (talk) 14:49, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
To both of you: If you have a content dispute, take it to the appropriate dispute resolution venues. If you have conduct disputes, take them to WP:ANI or WP:RFCU. If you continue reverting in flagrant violation of WP:3RR and WP:EW, you will both be blocked. Reaper Eternal (talk) 14:54, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
There is a wider issue here however that Mais oui! systematically goes through *very* large numbers of articles removing references to the UK. When reverted on an individual article, they pretty much always then engage in an edit war. They are well aware that it would be hugely time consuming for another editor or editors to start talk page discussions on the great number of individual articles they are going through. In the time taken to start a discussion on one article, get others involved and perhaps establish a consensus, Mais oui! will have already worked through a large number of additional articles.
This type of editing about a year ago (replacing "British" with "London-based"): [1] is crass and wholly cynical campaigining, pure and simple. On that article a talk page discussion subsequently established that Mais oui!'s edits were factually entirely wrong (Talk:International Computers Limited#Edit warring). By that time they had already ploughed on with many other articles. Rangoon11 (talk) 15:08, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

List of Prime Ministers of Pakistan

Hello, I've largely expended the list. Please have a look for grammar and spelling corrections, or anything if you want to expand it more. Regards. Zia Khan 01:35, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Wasalam Zia. Glad to see you working extensively to improve Pakistan related articles. Will surely take a look and Keep up the good work! --SMS Talk 18:40, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Hii

stfg is a agenda driven vandal, you check his false edit summaries in the name of copy edit over a featured good article, you cannot revert the cases I have filed Covidien (talk) 18:34, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 4

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pakistan Army, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Supreme Commander (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Actually what you are doing right now is copying text from another site. Copying text from other sources is not allowed per Wikipedia's copyright policy. --SMS Talk 12:20, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Re: Drone attacks in Pakistan

Check the time stamps and the talk page. Derp. 159.1.15.34 (talk) 22:17, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

I checked them before writing that message to you, what is so strange about it? You mean to say that you are allowed to revert repeatedly outside 24 hour bracket? If this is what you mean, I am afraid you haven't understood the Edit warring policy correctly. --SMS Talk 07:23, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

List of missiles of Pakistan

please provide references and sources for the article : "List of missiles of Pakistan" not a single source yet. pakistan doesnt have any IRBM leave ICBM. shaheen 1A range is not 4500km, its 1000 - 1200km.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amandawart (talkcontribs) 15:32, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

Looking into the issue right now. Thanks for pointing that out. --SMS Talk 15:53, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
shaneen 1 A is 1000- 1200km missile. those 4500km range said by some politicians has no basis at all. its range is around 1000km agreed by pakistani experts. you can see that in shaheen 1A in pakistan defence forum. so not intermediate missile.

ghauri 3 is a cancelled missile. there are no official confirmation on taimur ICBM under development, only speculations — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amandawart (talkcontribs) 02:37, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

Your concern related to Shaheen-1A addressed. About Taimur, it is actually sourced. --SMS Talk 21:43, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

Satti

Hi, I received your message regarding Satti tribe. The previous information wasn't correct ethnically as I'm doing research on caste and tribes in India including the ancient tribes. I'm living in Islamabad so I started to make corrections from local tribes. Please share any source, if you think my information isn't correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cypher.Oracle (talkcontribs) 21:28, November 24, 2012

Hi! Actually your edits removed sources from the article twice, which are considered useful if any reader wants to read further or if an editor wants to research for improving the article. Besides you also changed the header level of reference section, we have a guideline for styling of the article (Wikipedia:Manual of Style) that should be followed. Enjoy Editing! --SMS Talk 21:43, 24 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. The sources which you placed doesn't serve the purpose because you just put the searches result. In encyclopedia, we have to provide proper text with reference. What I entered is exactly word to word and with reference. Also, Rose book is a collection of gazetted information but not a history book so we can't rely on his information. Historian don't quote his information but present as a point of view. Regarding Reference section, your point of view is also right but this is a very small article so we can have as I did that is also not out of style guidelines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cypher.Oracle (talkcontribs) 22:05, 24 November 2012 (UTC)
I still suggest keeping those sources, while you may change the header of that section from "Sources" to "Further Reading". About the header style I disagree as WP:MOS is a guideline that is almost strictly followed, even if I don't revert back, someone else will surely correct them. So I suggest you please take a look of WP:MOSHEAD. Oh and messages at your talk page are for information purposes, do read them and further linked pages. Thanks --SMS Talk 22:18, 24 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. As I also understood and changed into Additional References but I think Further Reading is good option. Please look http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abraham_Lincoln, this is a protected page and developed by historians. In this page, References are on top.
About the sources you asked, you can look here, though will require some more digging. Hey and to sign your comment/message with your username and a timestamp at the end, just put four tildes at the end of your message just like this → ~~~~. If you need any help around here do let me know. Happy editing! --SMS Talk 22:30, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

List of Pakistanis

Hi,

I have added the name of my grandfather to the Quranic Reciters section in the List of Pakistani's Page.

May I know why you removed it?

I'll be grateful if you recognise his voluntary contribution to the Radio Station and People of Pakistan.

Thank you, Mubarak Shamim (Grandson of Qari Akhlaque Ahmed Ansari) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.15.42.3 (talk) 14:18, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello and Welcome to Wikipedia! Your addition to the List of Pakistanis seems to be non notable per Wikipedia's notability policy for people. If you think it meets this criteria, kindly write an article on him before adding his name to the list. --SMS Talk 16:42, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
