All Hands Magazine Edit

Hello. I'm not understanding why you changed the All Hands Magazine page back to where it was. When I revised it, it was indeed accurate, because as of January 2012, I'm in the Navy currently stationed at the command that used to publish the magazine so I have first-hand information about this. The last issue, like I previously posted on the page, was published on December 2011. The magazine is now defunct and will only publish an Owners & Operators Edition annually from now on. Also, Capt Gordon Hume is now retired from the Navy and is no longer the commanding officer of Naval Media Center, which is also defunct. The Navy Mass Communciation Specialists have now aligned with Defense Media Activity at Fort Meade, Maryland. I'd appreciate it if you would've left it alone instead of revert it back to the original, which was outdated in the first place. I'm going to repost what I changed two weeks ago. If you have any issues, feel free to address it on my talk page. Have a nice day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JasonNavy 1972 (talkcontribs)

You removed valid references from the article without giving any reason in the edit summary, while this time you replaced the references rather than just deleting. Also I would like to apprise you that original research is not allowed at Wikipedia. Hope it helps you understand why I reverted your edits. --SMS Talk 02:23, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited M. M. Alam Road, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gulberg (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

My Signature!

You're right. I realized it a little later. I tried to stylize my sign but there was no link. I tried to give link manually with HTML code, but it too didn't work. Thanks for the tip. I'll just try it. :-)

My new Article

Hi there bro. I just wrote an article about Lt. Gen Agha Ibrahim Akram. Can you check it out. and see if references are enough to send it for review? And do let me know if you know more resources about him.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Agha_Ibrahim_Akram

Thanks

M Younis | talk 20:04, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

I have added some references. The Defence Journal article on him is a better source to add more information about him. Also there are so many red links in the article which is usually avoided to make the article more readable. So either remove these link (and let the text remain) or create article for these link. After that you can ask the same reviewer to review it once again. Hope it help! --SMS Talk 23:44, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks a lot brother.I noticed that I've placed a lot of red links. And I've planned to write articles about them. I shall remove them for now? I'll put them back in when I'll write articles about them. And I'm just curious. How did you find these sources. I tried to search, but couldn't find any. May be I'm not so good at googling. :-) And Thank you once again. M Younis | talk 06:30, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
You are welcome! Actually I simply searched Google and Google books. --SMS Talk 15:53, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

Could we have your input for "Proposal 2" where the first reliable source has been found for POW & civilian internee figures in 1971? AshLin (talk) 04:54, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

image orphaned

Hi Sarmad, AoA. I'm having a problem again. One of the image I uploaded File:Agha Ibrahim Akram.jpg got orphaned. It said that image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia.
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks |MYounis | talk 12:17, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, I had some commitments in real life so couldn't respond earlier. It seems that the problem is already solved now. --SMS Talk 16:09, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Oh. Yes I figured it out. Thanks for responding. But I'm wondering why wikipedia didn't give me notification of your response.

|MYounis | talk 23:10, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Actually wikipedia don't notify response to your messages at any talk page (other than your own). Either you watchlist that talk page to observe any change on that page or the responding editor notifies you using {{Talkback}}. I forgot to notify you after replying. --SMS Talk 12:34, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Oh.. I see.. I guess, I'll take quite some time to understand wikipedia. |MYounis | talk 16:55, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
