Thérèse Humbert

Hi Skysmith. I am writing to you as you are the first editor listed on the Thérèse Humbert page. Are you able to identify where the idea that Thérèse Hubert died in Chicago in 1918 came from please? A little while ago I added some notes to the relevant Wikipedia page with details of the information I had read in a newspaper from the 1930s which had her still living in Paris at that time. There is also a suggestion on a French blog that she committed suicide in Paris on May 13th 1909 and even a National Archives reference F7 12929 which unfortunately I haven't been able to find on line, and yet I have also come across another American newspaper which states that she is alive and living in Paris in 1912. If you have any further information to support the 'died in Chicago in 1918' information, please are you able to point me in that direction. • If you check the first version, you notice that the death year is "????". I don't remember all the sources - in addition to the book - since It's been so long (source policy was different then). But I did not find any death date at that time. Hence she "vanished from history" - Skysmith (talk) 19:00, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
