Welcome to my talk page! Leave some talk!

Re: post on my talk page edit

In this case, I don't think I'll do anything right now, since I gave him the "last warning" over a week ago. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, though.

In the future, if you see someone who vandalizes after a recent "last warning", you can file a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism.

Thanks again, and since apparently no one has done so before, I would like to say "Welcome to Wikipedia!" J.delanoygabsadds 04:06, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please explain to me why I cannot put a page on the One Eyed Willy but there can be pages on Money Shots and Doggy Style. I would like to know if I can edit it and make it more professional and have references can I then put it on here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uf5 (talkcontribs) 16:51, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nope edit

Nope, since it's been stated (probably in the SJ issue where they released the episode names) that 187 is the last filler. WP:CRYSTAL only applies to shit that's completely and utterly unsupported, such as "at 209, the anime will have another filler," i.e. bona fide predictions. This is more or less stating a fact already supported by SJ. I went ahead and added a "citation needed" tag to it anyways so we can be sure. Suigetsu 01:19, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your response edit

Yes, in fact my system has been reinstalled since I uploaded the image. I updated the image a number of weeks ago and even this morning the image page was still showing the old version. However since leaving your comment the image page has updated for me too! Perhaps it is just a quirk in the system, or did you do something to it? In any case it all appears to be working find now. Thanks for your quick response --Delta-NC (talk) 14:34, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Can i get some more help? edit

Hi, thanks for the help on my talk page, it was very helpful. An IP from the same block just did a large deletion from the same page. Is some other action required? Is there a place where active vandalism is reported? Pdbailey (talk) 03:55, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your first barnstar! edit

  The Invisible Barnstar
All your help just now with reviewing those broken redirects saved me a ton of time and made the process a lot more bearable. Unfortunately, you got very little credit for all that work yourself! To make up for that, and in recognition of your cheerful and dedicated effort from backstage, I hereby award you the Invisible Barnstar. Thanks again! D Rodriguez article edit

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes it does help. I'm new at this and I can see how one gets hooked on learning the rules and figuring out the system. You feel like you have accomplished something and for a good cause. And the crazy thing is that I really don't have time to do this but i've gotten into it...Again thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SlackR2 (talkcontribs) 04:12, 19 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Don't want to be a pest, but edit

Still the Diane Rodriguez article is not appearing when the name is googled. How long will it take before it appears? Any idea? Could something be holding it up? Do I need to delete something? (SlackR2 (talk) 00:29, 30 September 2008 (UTC))Reply

Reverting page blanking edit

Hi. Though page blanking is usually vandalism and needs to be reverted, it is worth looking first at the page history, because quite often the author has blanked his own page, as was the case with Simone severini just now. In those cases the best thing is to tag it {{db-author}}. It can be confusing for an author who realises his page is inappropriate and blanks it, if his page is at once restored and he is accused of vandalism for the blanking and told it was unconstructive. (I know you didn't do that here) Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:25, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ah! Thanks for the tip! :D --DA Skunk - (talk) 20:27, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I've noticed that over the past three days or so you've made about 4 new accounts. Is there anything specific you are trying to do? It just seems a bit odd to this lowly member of the Welcoming Committee. TheXenocide (talk) 20:16, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Process question edit

Thanks for reversion and warning to user Jub-Jub117, I see you've mentioned WP process on your user page, so I have a process question for you. This user has been leaving graffiti on talk pages, which I hesitate to revert even if it's clearly vandalism, because they are, well, talk pages. Would you take a look and advise? Should the McCain tag be red? edit

John McCain is part of the republican party, which is traditionally identified as the red party. Conversely, the democrats are identified as blue. If you didn't choose the color, it's probably an idea to talk to who created the tag. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mechamind90 (talkcontribs) 02:38, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

vandalism - no. confused - yes edit

Da Skunk, Re ( This was posted on my talk page ):"Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Portal:Arts/Featured article/July, 2009. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. John Carter (talk) 00:25, 22 July 2009 (UTC)."And I haven't the foggiest idea what that was about.

Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Gverstraete" I am confused. It's been a while since I've accesssed Wikipedia because I feel somewhat discouraged with the process of contributing to WP's content. I had edited a page about "silverpoint" with a legitimate update on the revival of silverpoint drawing. My contributiob seems to have stayed for a while but now it has disappeared. I am genuinely interested in making bona fide, quality, historically correct and appropriate contributions to the content of Wikipedia. I must say, I was rather baffled by the word "vandalism" when my reputation as an artist, writer, scholar is public knowledge ( to those who know me of course ) and very much "above board."

Am I not doing something right?

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
