Eugene Joseph Pelc Article

edit

@Curb Safe Charmer:

Dear Curb Safe Charmer

Regarding your assessment of the Eugene Joseph Pelc ‎page, I collected this information through 1st person interview with the Pelc family. I have added a related 3rd party references they provided me, but there is not much more independent referral information online or in print form to substantiate the biographical information. What would you suggest?

@Sixtrees66: If there are no more reliable sources to substantiate what you've written about Pelc then the draft fails Wikipedia's verifiability policy and is therefore not suitable for inclusion. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 09:10, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Curb Safe Charmer:

Thanks again. Regarding additional sources versus those provided here. They are all quite strong and direct 3rd party references in support of the information I have provided in the biographical overview. I have read through the "notability" requirements and, as the references provided in the article seem to demonstrate quite clearly, he does appear to fit at least one or more of the Wikipedia qualifiers...

Authors, editors, journalists, filmmakers, photographers, artists, architects, and other creative professionals: The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors. The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory, or technique. The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of an independent and notable work (for example, a book, film, or television series, but usually not a single episode of a television series) or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews. The person's work (or works) has: (a) become a significant monument, (b) been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) won significant critical attention, or (d) been represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums.

Would you be able to provide me with some insight as to why they are insufficient?

@Curb Safe Charmer:

@Sixtrees66: Another editor will take a closer look at those references and assess the notability. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 10:12, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

While they currently at the end of the article, would it be better for me to link those references directly to the article at the relevant locations?

@Sixtrees66: Yes, it would be much better if there were inline references. See WP:REFBEGIN for how to do this. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 10:12, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
