Unblocking the Lafayette Parish School Board IP Address edit

Dear Wikipedia Admin,

I am excited to see the involvement you guys are taking in editing the pages so that they are appropriate. However, I wish to edit a few pages (intellectualy), though I cannot from the school board computers because the IP Address 198.41.70.2 is blocked. Any assitance in this would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps there is way I can edit with my username even though I'm on the Lafayette Parish School Board Network? I prefer to use the school board's networks because I have a less-than-quality Internet Connection at home and it's difficult for me to get work done from there. If something can be done, please contact me via this talk page or any method described above.

Thanks,

We're working on getting blocks only for IPs and not for registered users (see WP:BPP), but that hasn't been implemented yet, so I can't help you there. I'll see what I can do with the IP address. --Rory096 22:16, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
I managed to get it shortened, it'll expire at 17:36 GMT. It's now 17:21. You probably won't even notice the block. --Rory096 22:24, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Header edit

I think you should find a more appropriate header, or else subst the one you have and edit it to fit the context better. Jfingers88 04:36, 29 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

E3 edit

I'm not sure if you wrote this on the E3 page, but just letting you know it is untrue...

"Microsoft unveiled that special episodic content of the much anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV will be exclusive to it's console."

- source: Microsoft (I can find the person's name if you want, but I can tell you he is the person who works with third party publishers, such as Rockstar - GTA's publisher. My local PR person was in the room and answerd at the same time as him.

...Or just try searching "gta not exclusive" on Google.

LPSB edit

I just graduated from Lafayette High School. I know Mr. Blackwell from being president of the computer club, and from talking to him about setting up web servers, disputing our CIPA-mandated filtering software, etc. If you're asking about that filter I was talking about earlier... I was supposed to have finished that this month, but several things came up and I never got the code I was writing off of my school account. --Geoffrey 16:04, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
