Sapient Corporation edit

Good Siddhartha, I was thinking to move to Sapient (company) to Sapient Corporation, Good you did that :). KuwarOnline Talk 06:47, 28 June 2010 (UTC) Being the author of the article: Human Revolution in SGI Buddhism, I disagree with this arbitrary deletion of the word Buddhism from the title. The deletion was based on a personal opinion and is not justified in Wikipedia practice, because if you take a look at the classification of the article you'd see Buddhism.Reply

Human Revolution Article edit

The article does not relate to SGI as an organisation, but to the Buddhist teaching of attaining Enlightenment which is termed in SGI Teachings of Buddhism as Human Revolution.

The deletion of the word Buddhism from an article related to the teachings of Buddhism taught by the SGI can be regarded as a matter of misunderstanding by the person who deleted the word "Buddhism" from the title. Deleting "Buddhism" is an act signifying deep misunderstanding. Buddhism is not a private property of any person, branch, temple, school or sect. To deny Zen as a form of Buddhism is simply incorrect and unacceptable and so is the deletion of the Buddhist teaching of SGI from being a "Buddhist perspective". Branches of Buddhism differ mainly in their perspectives on attaining Enlightenment and other doctrines, and the article is an impartial explanation of the teaching of Buddhism taught by SGI on the subject of attaining personal enlightenment. It is a distinct Buddhist perspective, fully documented as well as being practiced by millions of people world wide. It would have been more appropriate in Wiki practice to state one's opinion in Discussion rather than delete the author's given title and contradict the gener and classification of the article. Request to Mr Siddharta to respectfully return the word "Buddhism" to the title of the article about Buddhist teaching on Enlightenment taught in SGI doctrines.

Being the author of the article: "Human Revolution in SGI Buddhism", I disagree with this uninformed deletion of the word Buddhism from the title. The deletion was based on a personal opinion and is not justified in Wikipedia practice, because if you take a look at the classification of the article you'd see Buddhism.

Deletion could be justified if the article was about the organisational structure of SGI. The article does not relate to SGI as an organisation, but to the "Buddhist Teaching of Attaining Enlightenment" which is termed in SGI Teachings of Buddhism as Human Revolution.

The deletion of the word Buddhism from an article related to the teachings of Buddhism taught by the SGI is wrong: it is against acknowledged respect to the belief of millions of people world wide. Deleting "Buddhism" is an act signifying deep misunderstanding based on a personal judgement of what Buddhism is and to whom it "should belong". Wiki rules forbid religious bias. Buddhism is not a private property of any person, branch, temple, school or sect. As Christianity has various forms and organisations so is the situation with Buddhism and the Buddhist teaching of SGI constitute "Buddhist perspectives" based on the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren's teachings. I request returning the title to its original form. Consultation with Wiki is also appreciated, as the matter here relates to Wiki rules. Fair use rationale for File:Soka Gakkai Logo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Soka Gakkai Logo.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 07:56, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Human Revolution, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Gary King (talk · scripts) 07:26, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
