Neutral point of view editing. edit

Noted your comment on the article talk page. The fact that you are a single article editor is often a good indicator of an ability to edit from a neutral point of view. But it’s not conclusive – I hope you read the article I linked to. However in this case it is precisely on the basis of the merits of your edits that I made the comment that you are clearly unable to edit this article from a neutral point of view.

Let me again encourage you to edit much more widely, and not to edit in this or other topics where you have very strong views. It is simply almost impossible for anyone to edit neutrally in those cases. That will be really helpful, as well as easier all round.

With all good wishes, Springnuts (talk) 12:36, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your response Springnuts.
From your statement of: "the basis of the merits of your edits that I made the comment that you are clearly unable to edit this article from a neutral point of view"
Would you be able to give me examples of which of my edits were biased, please?
I find it difficult to believe I made multiple, biased edits - enough where you declined the 3O outright. I have yet to be told which edits and why were perceived as lacking neutrality. (I will claim the edit and mistake of a description edit where it was copyright on my behalf). That being said, I am assuming there are other examples for your decline and examples of these edits are what I am seeking. Thank you. Shelbychesbro (talk) 06:25, 12 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I am certain that there will be no benefit in engaging with you on this issue. I regret that I do not have time to engage in unproductive discussions of this sort. May I again encourage you to edit much more widely and to study the various links about neutral point of view editing. With all respect, Springnuts (talk) 08:26, 12 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Springnuts I do find it helpful and productive because it will help all current and future editors understand the means of your denial for a 3O by observing the evidence that supports your claim. I believe it is only fair that when a claim is made there is adequate testimony and examples to support one's reasoning.
For example - you claim that my edits are biased, but will not provide me with examples.
Here is a recent edit of mine as an example - It was marked down for copyright (Which I now understand), but my goal was to put a brief snapshot of the work GFA does in the lead (like many other Wiki pages have). This was removed immediately by another user, as well as EVERY other edit I have made on this page. Each edit I have made has been reverted by the same user. I also asked the other editor if we could come to an agreement and they refused. I was completely willing to put together a description of the org in the lead that the other editor and I both agreed to. (Hence why I sought a 3O to neutrally provide myself and the other editor a 3O).
Here is my edit: Gospel for Asia supports national workers by sponsoring national ministries to minister to people's needs, sponsoring children, investing in community development, and helping families in need of care or during disasters.
My reasoning: “Gospel for Asia supports national workers by sponsoring national ministries.” Historically, this is perhaps the greatest contribution of Gospel for Asia and KP Yohannan. His bestselling book, Revolution in World Missions argues that instead of sending Western Missionaries to foreign countries, the West should send support to local workers in countries. As Gailyn Van Rheenen, notes in Missions: Biblical Foundations and Contemporary Strategies, “In fact, K. P. Yohannan calls Western support of locals the "third wave" in world missions. He argues that since Western missionaries are rarely effective in Asia, Western churches need to provide prayers and finances for only local evangelists (2009). His mission agency, Gospel for Asia, based in Dallas, Texas, raises millions of dollars for the support of local evangelists.” Van Rheenen, Gailyn.
