November 2010 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Straits Exchange Foundation. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Trafford09 (talk) 10:06, 24 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Kuomintang edit

Regarding your edits here, I don't see why you had to move the section to another article. The main article regarding the political party is at Viet Nam Quoc Dan Dang; the original section within Kuomintang does not discuss the VNQDD, but rather the diplomatic/political links, ties and connections between the VNQDD and KMT. I don't think that including a brief mention, in prose, within the KMT article discussing such ties wouldn't hurt the overall quality of the KMT article. If you believe that the section was too long, a shortening to a brief summary would have sufficed; removing all mention and simply adding a "see also" link is a bit of an overkill in my opinion. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 04:44, 26 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Actually, now that I've taken a closer look, it looks like you didn't even move the section, but deleted it as a whole, despite the fact that it contained information and citations not present within the VNQDD article. I will try to assume good faith on your behalf this time and hope that you did not mean any malice, however it will be difficult to do so in the future if you make similar edits again. Having another article does not warrant original information to be blanked. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 04:55, 26 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Actually, I think more pruning is needed to keep the article in shape. It is out of control due to such digressive materials. --SheenShin (talk) 22:23, 26 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Like I said, if you would like to reduce the section in the KMT article, make sure no content or references are eliminated; move any unmentioned material and citations to the VNQDD article. Leave at least one sentence of mention somewhere within the KMT article - don't just leave a "See also" link and think that it solves everything. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 02:24, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
You are correct. There are some interesting information in the section. Thank you for your advice. --SheenShin (talk) 17:32, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Luangpor Teean edit

Hello SheenShin,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Luangpor Teean, may be copied from http://the-wanderling.com/teean2.html. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 23:55, 19 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
