LDS articles edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed your efforts on the article and talk page of Church. Please be aware that there are many articles relating to the Latter Day Saint movement. The LDS work project is always looking for new members. Editors in the project discuss and jointly establish policy, rules and guidelines for LDS articles. You might consider joining. Hope to see your sig again. WBardwin (talk) 21:23, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sharps, I think you now understand more about what I was saying. LDS are a significant minority on Wikipedia and anti-Mormons or those with a clear agenda are far more active and have been for several years. You can tell by just reading any article related to LDS issues that none of them, not one, is neutral. Wikipedia is not a reputalbe source and never will be because articles are not written from the position of knowledge or expertise, but consensus. Unfortunately, consensus is whatever the majority says is accurate. Should you continue to contribute, you have only just begun to pay the price of participation.
On the other hand, you do what you can. Stay as neutral as possible; be aware that at times you might have an overly positive view of the issues; correct articles when they are overly positive, report on both sides of the issues; ignore the jackasses that edit (they seldom stay around); you will gain respect by being neutral. Learn policies expertly and learn to use warnings when editors step out of line, report editors when appropriate, and move on. Refrain from as much personal talk as possible; it seldom is of benefit. Clarification edit

Thanks for pointing me to the talk page. I changed the link from "Main article" to a more precise "See also" then, since it's not an article solely dedicated to the LDS Church. Regards —Eustress talk 12:52, 15 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Response edit

I have left a fairly long-winded response to your question on my talk page. Thanks, Shereth 15:06, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
