Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Independent Property Group

Dear god, I’ve never been STOMPED on by anyone so fast in my entire life! I’m trying to create a page referring to a Canberra business - yes - and I’m doing it because they’re my employer, yes. I’ve not tried to establish a Wikipedia page before, so I barely know what I’m doing. There ARE other real estate agencies on Wikipedia - I wish to contest this most strongly, I haven’t used Wikipedia before, I have no idea how it works - it seems to be overly complicated and rather than sending me horrible messages and deleting my page, how about some sound advice or HELP? I can’t see that us having a page on Wikipedia is any worse than any other real estate agency having one, it’s not advertising - I took care to ensure that I removed anything but facts about the history of the business, and many people in Canberra know the business well, and we need a Wikipedia page to ensure people know we’re a part of the history of Canberra business, the history of the business is a proud Canberra story, and I cannot for the life of me see how you consider it advertising! Obviously you’ve deleted it - I would like a wikipedia page similar to this one : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LJ_Hooker - how can LJ hooker have a page on Wikipedia and not Independent Property Group? I just tried to ‘visit the page’ to ‘contest speedy deletion’ and it’s already gone, and there’s no option to contest it. Please put it back. Or advise me on how I can put it back, by the way - I don’t work for Independent Property group, I work for the parent company - Dexar Group. How am I supposed to get this information to you, how am I supposed to comply with the ‘rules’, please advise. Sharonatdexar (talk) 12:20, 23 March 2019 (UTC)

Disclosure of employment

Hello Sharonatdexar. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Draft:Independent Property Group, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Dont’ worry - I’m not editing anything - as you’ve already deleted my page. Thanks a lot. I am NOT employed by Independent Property Group. I am employed by Dexar Group. What other information am I supposed to give you, and how does my page differ from LJ Hooker’s? (See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LJ_Hooker). Please put my page back - it was NOT advertising! • "What other information am I supposed to give you?" The answer is: include the information that Dexar Group is the parent company of Independent Property Group and do that in the manner that Drm310 has told you - see "you can post …" above.

As to your contributing, my usual mantra applies: kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no CoI thinks this company is notable and writes about it here. You ask "how does my page differ"? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LJ_Hooker above and Canberra, Australia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canberra) in your draft scream loudly "I am a spammer who cannot be bothered to learn Wikipedia standards". (Please read the bottom few lines of this message.) But the simple answer is: the LJ Hooker article is thick with references: yours was devoid of them. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:26, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

@RHaworth. Your usual mantra? wow. I'm amazed anyone contributes anything to wikipedia. Have you looked up 'manners' on wikipedia or are you waiting until someone who knows about them writes a contribution? I can no longer see or edit my DRAFT, and it was, a draft. Before I could add any references it had been deleted. I was going to add images, tags to Indepedents community partners - oh by the way - you might not be interested but we've just donated our millionth dollar to charity - but of course, you're not interested. My apologies. But then, before I could fill the story in my draft, it was deleted.

Do tell me, what right of appeal do I have about what you've done and the way you're treating me? Have you looked up 'principles of natural justice' on Wikipedia or doesn't that get a run either? Did you delete that entry?

How do you write history on wikipedia if you deliberately exclude the facts by virtue of 'waiting for someone who thinks it's noteworthy' to write about it?

The consistent sniping and nastiness from you, dear @RHaworth, leads me to believe that wikipedia itself is writing a version of the truth, but obviously is earning the reputation of being only half the truth. Excluding the contributions of people who actually do know what they're writing about and accusing them of spamming is a particularly dangerous way to curate fact from fiction. If I had intended to spam wikipedia with advertising, I would have obviously been far more blatant about it by using actual - yes, actual ADJECTIVES in my contribution. Nobody can verify or look at what I did put there, as it's been deleted.

I have no recourse obviously, unless you have failed to appraise me of those particular rules. Have you? Who knows. I may never get a polite answer rather than another earful of abuse. You tell me to have the 'decency' to wait until someone who thinks our business 'noteworthy' writes about it. Well, who might do that? People don't come to us for a writing task. Charities who have received donations will have a 'financial interest' in writing a contribution. Home buyers and home sellers will have a financial interest in any transaction they undertake with us, and therefore won't be able to contribute either. LJ Hooker's page contributor - do tell - who was it? A happy client? Someone who just made a capital gain of half a million on the sale of their house but since they weren't employed by LJ Hooker, got away with putting an entire page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sharonatdexar (talk • contribs)

• As to the matter of "manners", please tell me which bits of my previous message Tony Smith would censure as being unparliamentary language. "Do tell - who was it?" - another declaration that "I am an SPA". A Wikipedian would check the edit history of LJ Hooker, find out who created it and discover that that person had already done hundreds of edits to a variety of articles and therefore probably did not have any CoI.

"Before I could add any references" - when the speedy deletion tag was applied to Draft:Independent Property Group the article had been untouched for ten hours. It was therefore not unreasonable to apply the speedy tag. Your right of appeal is to go to deletion review. But, if you really insist on spamming us, a better course of action is: learn Wikipedia style then create a proper draft - with references in right from the start! Your response is fully in keeping with your previous responses, I see @RHaworth. Your first paragraph doesn't even appear rational. I have not spammed wikipedia. You seem to be unable to grasp facts. Ten hours - it was night time in Canberra during those ten hours, and I'm afraid I don't continue to work at night on wikipedia, particularly when treated with such rudeness and lack of editorial judgement. Your barely concealed rage is preventing you both responding appropriately and considering the facts of the matter. I have not accused you of 'unparliamentary language'- I consider your responses are inappropriate to the situation and the facts of the matter. Since you are unable to see sense in such a matter I request you pass this discussion and the draft to a human being who may consider the draft, see it was factual only, and consider it for publication or, if they really think it's advertising, or as you call it 'spam', write a history of the company for publication. I suggest you consider removing yourself from wikipedia until you develop a sense of fairness, natural justice and an ability to discern the facts in any written matter submitted to Wikipedia, as I do not think your judgement is sound in this matter. One look at your other actions on wikipedia shows you merely delete all contributions regardless of the worthiness of their facts. Perhaps you're here for the wrong reasons.
