Taner Edis

I created this article basically as a stub, it needs work, I am not sure if you have the time but I noticed your good work on the Skeptical Inquirer article, Edis is involved with the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry. Basically it would be nice to expand the article but I have had difficulty in doing this as many of the sources I cannot get access to. HealthyGirl (talk) 20:16, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

Pardon me for butting in, but what a nice coincidence. I just the other day noticed that Taner Edis didn't have an article, and was wondering why. And boom now that's fixed. Thanks, I'll see if I can throw some stuff in there. --Krelnik (talk) 00:22, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
Hello HealthyGirl. Thank you for thinking of me, and thank you for the praise. I'm not sure what sources you are talking about that you do not have access to that you think I will have? I am not aware of this person. I'll work on this page on my sandbox and see what I can come up with. I do not make a page live until it is finished, so I'm wary of stepping in to work on the page if I know others are also working on it at the same time. Krelnik I see you have already been working on it. Let me see what I can find the next few hours. If nothing then I'll just let the page sit as HealthyGirl has left it. If I find a lot then I'll post here so that I can work on it as I normally do in my user space.Sgerbic (talk) 02:05, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
I just did a few small things on the page, and I created a whole bunch of inbound links from other Wiki articles. --Krelnik (talk) 02:08, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

Hey thanks for help Krelnik. As for the Edis article, there was just a few sources I couldn't get full access to, for example this review in the New Scientist [1]. My interest is mostly in older skeptical works regarding medical frauds or quackery. I have created pages for lesser known skeptics from the past such as David Meredith Reese, James Harvey Young, Dan King (skeptic), William Newnham (physician) etc. These are not huge articles and I am not quite in the same league as you Sgerbic, for example your work on Wiseman's paranormality (book) is very impressive, you are putting significant amount of time and hard work into these articles and it is very much appreciated. Flattery will get you everywhere HealthyGirl. :-) I am listening to his Point of Inquiry interview from 2008 right now. It shouldn't be a problem coming up with something big with some work. I've added a info box (copied Lawrence Krause's) and don't think it will be hard to find photos. You are welcome to watch my sandbox as I go through the sources I find. I'm not going to bother with anything I can't access easily.
Okay I'm done. I left notes on the talk page. It isn't my favorite page but I guess it is okay. HealthyGirl I only used sources that were available online, nothing was out of reach.Sgerbic (talk) 05:43, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for the expansion and improvements, the article looks a lot better. I have done some digging around on the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry article or related articles, most of the notable skeptics already have articles. Unfortunately some of the remaining skeptics listed, would not pass WP:BIO. One exception might be Stuart Vyse. I will see what I can do. HealthyGirl (talk) 12:35, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
