You just cant add links to promote your clan site. You also cannot add detail that would make the article sound like a "game guide" per [[WP:NOT}. I warned you because that was the third time you tried to insert a link to that site in some way shape or form. You can reply here because I have it on my watch list now. Corpx,

I believe we got off on the wrong foot with my inital attempts to submit material on your BF2 Wiki page. I am serving in the military and stationed overseas. I have been dedicating a lot of time to playing and researching BF2. I have found your site to be well thought out and very useful.

The 3 attempts to add a link were due to my misunderstanding of why the edits were not sticking.

I would like to contribute. I have a lot of material that may interest you and your readers.

  • It's not really "my site". Its as much my site as it is yours. I'm just a user here. You can ask on the talk page of the article how you can help and I'm sure people will be glad to help you out. I play BF2 too :) Corpx 23:34, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Corpx,

Within the last year, I have been using Wiki a lot as a reference for many different topics. I am a novice and am just now digging into the functionality of the Wiki process. In fact, you caught me trying to make my first edits to a Wiki article. I did not even know the talk function existed until we began this dialogue. I would really appreciate your assistance in enabling me to contribute to the BF2 topic.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Rich

  • To be quite honest, I really dont know what to tell you. Just browse around and add info you think might be useful. However, whatever you add must be cited from a reliable sources so it can be verified if somebody questions it. Corpx 08:02, 29 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
