I guess I'll archive sooner or later too. I was just going to add that I don't and didn't actually mind the reversion of the accidental warning. It was totally ok, I understand. I wouldn't have linked to it in a note to you previously except for concern people wouldn't understand I didn't intend bad faith. This interchange was not very important. Carry on with your important work. I am sure you are doing a lot more substantive work than I've had time to do at wikipedia in a while because I've been busy outside this community. I haven't checked but I'll bet you have written a lot more articles than I have, so I do regard you (and most editors) as established. Sorry for the confusion. WikiProject Taskforces

I changed the Workgroups so now "Taskforce" links to a page about Taskforces rather than the To do Tasks list. I believe this way it'll be less confusing. Also it might make it easier to have all the taskforces listed together so its easier to manage and reduces the number of small subpages related to the Wikiproject. More reverts needed

Hi. I noticed you had reverted a couple of entries by 24.154.55.9; I also noticed at least one other page that needs reverted. I'm guessing that this option is available to admins. Would you check the edits by this person and perform some more reverts? I noticed some potential problems with the "Cola" page - I don't know the facts about the flavoring, but the edits look fishy. Crab People

Did you know...

I've updated the Did you know... section. The format for suggesting and archiving them now matches the Showcase. I thought making all the formats match for 'common look and feel' on the Portal would be important. I've also changed the format to the Did you know... section so now each month new DYK's will rotate. We can even repeat past DKY's, but changing them regularily will make it more interesting. I've assigned you as one of the DYK Directors along with me. If you don't want to be the DYK Director you can remove your name from the list. The Portal's looking great and vastly improved. I think we're close. The News section could still use a lot of work and the Vancouver topics section will need to be greatly expanded. I took a look at London's Portal and they have quite a few info boxes at the bottom. I've found our Vancouver info boxes not to be entirely complete. I think if we're able to accomplish that, we should be going into the featured portal review in a good place and the minor changes following will be handled with ease. I have expanded the Education section as much as possible. There is nothing important that I can add to the Government section. As for History, there is literally no information for the 20th century, so I do not think the article should fall below Good Article criteria just because of that. After all, its quality not quantity.

InShaneee RfC

I saw your note on the RfC for User:InShaneee and checked the logs. The "self-unblocking" was fixing an inadvertent mistake dealing with an alternate/imposter prevention account and doesn't really fall within the rule against an admin unblocking his or her own main account. Admin coaching, etc.

Are you ready to get started?

The waiting time over at Admin coaching is long (some people have been waiting in line since July). I'm an admin coach with the project, and for my students I set up a group discussion page so that we could all learn from each other. The scope of this concept has expanded into the Virtual classroom, which is an open forum for the teaching and learning of advanced Wikipedia skills.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate, as a student, as a coach, or both. Every week or two a new major topic of discussion or classroom assignment is introduced, usually with a guest writer who presents his or her expertise on the current subject and who remains on hand to answer questions. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussions, such as sharing your expertise, asking and answering questions, etc.

The current topic of discussion is vandalism, and our guest writer is Budgiekiller.

All discussions are open-ended, so all previous discussion topics and classroom assignments are still there for viewing and further participation. There are also sections for posting miscellaneous topics and questions, requesting coaching assistance, etc.

In addition to inviting those who would like to learn, I routinely invite experts from all over Wikipedia to come and contribute for the benefit of all. The VC is rapidly turning into a clearing house of the best resources, methods, and techniques known for working on Wikipedia.

You are cordially invited to participate.

Outline

It is the conventional practice for "outlines" to be "staggered" with respect to the left hand margin of the page in any written display; and, especially, the "outlined" text simply comes out that way any time that you use a computer soft-ware generated "outline".

I suggest that you revert my alterations; because if you actually look at the actual current wiki page, and compare it with what it actually looked like before you changed it, you will see that my alterations present a far better looking page than that which your "reversion" offers. I suggest that you revert your changes, and do not consider my changes "vandalism". Perhaps I was wrong (a) not to sign them, and (b) not to identify what the changes were about. So far so good, but I have to apologize in advance for not noticing this before. I have one more issue. Look at where refs 9 and 11 are at in the text. RFA suggestion

I suggest you withdraw your RFA. Although you have made great strides since September, it's really impractical to have an RFA after 2 or 3 months, as people rarely change their minds or their views of you in that time. Worse, if you do this often, many will vote Oppose for you in later RFAs (even if you are qualified) because you have had so many RFA noms in the past. Judging from your current votes (and it just started), it would harm you less if you called quits rather than stayed through the whole thing.
