Your speedy deletion request edit

Scottcgilmore, I'm wondering why you're requesting speedy deletion of this article. If it is because you are discouraged by the tagging, perhaps the issue can be resolved. Another editor is showing an interest in improving this article: see WP:Teahouse#A page has been flagged, how do I fix it? RockMagnetist (talk) 17:28, 31 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Christopher H. Martin edit

The article Christopher H. Martin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I declined CSD G7 since this article has been edited by numerous third party editors, so it doesn't qualify for speedy deletion under that criteria. However, it appears the subject fails WP:ARTIST and WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Removing AfD template edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Christopher H. Martin. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot I NotifyOnline 13:24, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reference: Christopher H. Martin edit

At the moment, I will let the deletion process continue, but remember, it lasts at least a week, so you still have plenty of time to provide the necessary references. The main problem I see is trying to satisfy the notability guidelines for artists. Please examine them at WP:ARTIST. It doesn't appear that Mr. Martin satisfies the guidelines. If he actually does, you need to come up with reliable sources demonstrating that. The one current reference in the article is from a local publication and doesn't appear to demonstrate notability. But again, this deletion process takes at least a week, so you have plenty of time to make your case. Thanks. Safiel (talk) 22:00, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
