Teke's RfA thanks edit

Thank you for your support of my RfA, which has passed with a final tally of 76/1/1. With this overwhelming show of support and approval I am honored to serve Wikipedia in the task charged to me and as outlined in my nomination. Happy editing to you! Teke (talk) 17:46, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Eubot edit

Hi Scott,

As far as I know it already has a bot flag, but hiding bot edits doesn't work on the New pages page... I'm sorry about that. Fortunately, the bot run is nearly finished; perhaps about 40 pages still to go (of several thousands), and I've reduced the editing rate by half. I will have to edit a large number of existing pages, but fortunately those only show up in Recent Changes, so the bot flag will work. Eugène van der Pijll 17:57, 3 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Roger's Battles edit

Scott:

Thanks for the gracious welcome. However, Wikipedia has been far from "Friendly". I would like for you to read my "Talk" page and offer any input.

Thanks,

Re: Scott

I just got back for a few days and and took your advice. However, the four editors are still at it on the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company article, please review. Appaerently what is happening is that anyone else that has verifiable articles contrary to their "Citations" they delete, or dismiss as "Unverifiable". also did some research into Wikipedia's past, and there have been cases of malicious intent by editors for no other purpose than self gratification. I need advice on this, and if you can direct me to others who can help, that would certainly be appreciated as well. Thanks, --Roger the red 18:17, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

State hwy WP images edit

Iowa needs to be added to Image:Map_of_USA_SH_WPs.svg. Would you be willing to add this? Thanks. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 23:54, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Add to Project Participants? edit

Scott,

I'd like to be added to the participant list on the Oklahoma Highway Project. I've gotten a lot of information on that page, and it's been helpful.

Also, I'd like to work up pages for the Interstates & Turnpikes similar to the Texas I-40 page. I'd need help with editing the infoboxes.

Thanks!

Exit list guide edit

Hello, Scott5114. Since you have commented on the design of exit lists in the past, you may be interested in contributing to the newly-formed exit list guide. Please give your input regarding the page as soon as possible.

Thanks edit

I'm always chary of removing stuff added to articles where I'm the primary author (Peachoid), as I want to avoid issues of WP:OWN. I had therefore merely put in a statement of "this is almost certainly incorrect." I'm glad you cut that nonsensical paragraph. The paradox of writing new articles is that, if you keep them clean, you're "OWN"ing them, and, if you don't, they go to heck, and you look sloppy. Geogre 21:04, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Change to Common.css edit

Per recent discussions, the way in which Persondata is viewed by Wikipedia editors has changed. In order to continue viewing Persondata in Wikipedia articles, please edit your user CSS file to display table.persondata rather than table.metadata. More specific instructions can be found on the Persondata page. --ShakingSpirittalk on behalf of Kaldari 01:51, 25 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image:I-635 strip map.svg edit

I have seen your creation of Image:I-635 strip map.svg at Interstate 635 (Kansas-Missouri) but I am wondering how to do a svg file and how do I edit it to add the new Horizons Parkway, which it does not show on your map. Another problem with the map is that you show K-5 cutoff from US-69. Also I want to redo the map to show the originaly proposed alignment of I-635 on this map or a seperate map. NH assessment edit

Just so you know, TMF was (I think) using the unassessed status to see which articles need to be revised, so he can take care of the NH articles. Thanks for your help however! --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 08:02, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Exit List Compliance edit

I ran across it, looks good. The only thing is that in addition to the three options, I would recommend "No exit list required" or something similar, since routes like I-10, the actual I-10 article won't- and can't- have an exit list, but the state articles do and may not have an exit list...see what I mean? Just to help against confusion that an exit list may be need when it actually doesn't. --MPD T / C 07:01, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

You pose a good question. Interstate 81 or 95 would be a good example; where it would be good to put the 'x' parameter rather than 'no', because a complete exit list exists among all the state pages for those routes. Just because having the same note ("No exit list") for both the main I-81 article and I-81 in Maryland pages could be ambiguous to someone that we'd want the full exit list on I-81, also. I would say that when an exit list is ready, if there's no "X in State" article, to create it. I'm looking at I-65, and there should be an I-65 in Alabama page so that the exit list can exist there. Then, yes, that would be a good place for 'x'. Some Interstates- like I-66 or I-68, I-73 even, don't need subpages because their lists are so short, and the articles would be nothing if the article was split up. I'm rambling now. I do love the list though; I'm finding it very helpful to go through and start working on some of these. Thanks! --MPD T / C 16:41, 31 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
