about the E. W. Marland and William H. Murray issue. I ran into your "needs cleanup" posting yesterday at Marland and wandered over to your user page, but did not comment. However after getting your note today, moved the Murry stuff to its discussion page too. i left a not for this fellow on his blog page but have not heard back. Turns out that he's a Young Republican and even admitts it, so that explains a lot, to me, anyway. I have recently made a couple of interesting road trips through Oklahoma - one of which is leading to a nice [whooops, that's an opinion] article about the Pioneer Woman Statue in Ponca City. As User:Ligulem points out, there is now a class="references-small" specification, which is preferred, as it allows all the references lists to have a consistant appearance, and so we can change them all at once, if need be. I've updated your userspace template accordingly, happy to help. The death of OK-51C

Scott,

I live in Stillwater, and frequently make the trip from here to Oklahoma City either via OK-51 or US-177 & OK-33, then I-35. Sometime in 2005, all the signs for OK-51 disappeared, including junction signs and reassurance signs on the former highway. At the end of OK-51C, the signs directing traffic to EB/WB OK-51 remain, as they usually do when a state highway is realigned or decommissioned. The old alignment of US-177 through downtown Stillwater still retains navigation signs for OK-51, although (obviously) the navigation signs for US-177 have been moved to the new alignment.

OK-108; Images

Scott,

I began the article of OK-108 this morning. It is a bit rough, with no links to cities, etc., but take a look when you get a chance and let me know what you think. Also, I made a minor modification to the OK-51 page: I added an inline image that I used in the OK-108 article. Let me know what you think.

Are you using 1 mi = 1.609 km for the conversion?

Wow... I knew it was 1.609344, which is what I use... I thought I was the only geek that put all 7 significant figures into the calculator :o)

Hotbuckles

I see you posted a delete prod on the Hotbuckles article. You may not be aware that this article is identical to another article that was prodded, speedied, and finally afd'd earlier today. In both cases, the prod and the speedy tags were removed by the page's creator and/or one of his sockpuppets. The Hotbuckle's page should be afd'd as spam immediately. Furthermore, the page should be watched closely, as I suspect the author will create it again and again and again. --Charles 17:50, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

The same author has duplicated the belt buckle article (retitled belt buckles) with the same spam content. I speedy tagged it. But, I think this guy needs a stiff warning from an administrator, 'cause he's on a rampage. Jeezus, I hate spam. ---Charles 18:16, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey, that's great. I wasn't sure how to delete the file after I had uploaded it. Also, I found that PNGs are actually smaller than SVGs (usually), but are not scalable. I continued to use PC Paintbrush because of the bug you found. Now that I know how it works, I will go back to inkscape.

PA Route Shields

Hi -- I'm interested in creating PA Route Shields for some articles I plan to create on state routes. I downloaded a version of Inkscape, but I am not having success in creating svg files. I have a series of png's created. Is there a way to convert these, or do they need to be built completely in Inkscape. OR -- if you have time to create some of these for me, that would be great too, but I realize it's a lot to ask. Hope you can offer some help.
