Image copyright problem with Image:Oberlin Trio.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Oberlin Trio.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. Double brackets and single brackets
editI have seen a couple of the articles you have worked on and I wanted to make sure you were aware of the difference between [[double brackets]] and [single brackets] in editing Wikipedia.
[[Double brackets]] are used to link to other pages here on Wikipedia. For example, [[Chicago Symphony Orchestra]] produces a link to the Wikipedia page about the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
[Single brackets] are used to link to external pages outside Wikipedia. For example, [http://www.cso.org] produces an external link like this: [1]. You can put a description of the external link to get something other than just a number. For example, [http://www.cso.org the Chicago Symphony Orchestra] displays as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
If you put double brackets around an external link, you will wind up with an external link surrounded by brackets, which probably is not what you wanted. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 02:01, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Toth Duo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

- I was creating the page at the same time that it was reviewed for "speedy deletion." I apologize - I am new to this but believe that this is an article of significance given the scarce availability of such "Duos" and the importance of the repertoire, as indicated by the recording of three 20th century masterworks. Smaller/lower quality version of File:Trio350.jpg. No encyclopedic purpose to retaining both.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
