License tagging for Image:Arialive.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Arialive.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

The article Aria C Jalali! has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. See WP:ATTRIBUTION. NawlinWiki 14:30, 13 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've already given you the links to the relevant guidelines, above. The one that is most relevant is WP:BAND -- please read it. NawlinWiki 19:13, 13 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you can write an article that meets the above guidelines, go ahead. Deletion of an article doesn't automatically block reposting. I suggest not using the exclamation point after the name, though. NawlinWiki 19:25, 13 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've moved the text of your article to your userspace at User:Scenehands/Aria C Jalali! per your request. I've also deleted the article Rising Dissent as not asserting notability. However, please note Wikipedia:Inclusion is not an indicator of notability. NawlinWiki 19:38, 13 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Aria C Jalali! edit

A tag has been placed on Aria C Jalali!, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Vaincruft. Only sources blogs/myspace/red herrings (no mention)

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Wysdom 07:35, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Aria C Jalali! edit

I have deleted this article again. I am sorry, there was just no assertion of notability in the article, despite the fact that effort had obviously been put in to source it. Please take a read of WP:BAND and WP:RS. J Milburn 10:25, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please don't just presume people know which page you are talking about. I realised when I checked your talk page. I have moved the article to User:Scenehands/Aria C Jalali!, but I had to delete the (blanked) page that was already there. Again, I must stress, take a read of WP:BAND, and try to get a good understanding of WP:RS. Feel free to contact me if you want me to check over the article. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
