I think it might also be beneficial to explain the sentence about frequency modulation pattern a little bit further to provide some context. I like how you’ve edited portions of the original paragraph to make it more concise and relevant.
You’ve made a lot of good contributions to the development paragraph. The information about how calves learn their whistles is really interesting. I think this section might benefit from further clarification about how the whistles are learned. There is a sentence there stating they learn from their mothers, but also from adults they do not spend time around, so perhaps adding a few more sentences and citations might help to clarify. The section on other factors that influence the whistle is a really great addition to the article.
