Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Samoano! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Acetic'Acid 14:32, August 31, 2005 (UTC)

Vicious party edit

Hi, with regard to the rock group Vicious party that you wrote an article about, can you tell me whether they meet any of the music guidelines at WP:MUSIC? It looks like they didn't have any albums commercially released (only selling tapes on the black market) and played only 5 shows in 5 years -- too few performances for them to become notable. --Metropolitan90 02:49, 12 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sunset Featured Pictures edit

Hi Samoana,
I'm not sure if you are aware of the correct procedure, but before a picture becomes a Featured Picture, the picture must pass through peer review on the Featured Picture Candidates page. I noticed you added several sunsets to the FP list. They do not seem to have been promoted as a Featured Picture. Therefore, unless there is a good reason, I will have to remove their Featured Picture status. Please submit any images you feel up to Featured Picutre standards on the Featured Picture Candidates page. --Fir0002 www 11:24, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

why did you remove Porto Metro from the list?! Porto tramways are another complete different think. Porto Metro uses LR vehicles, but it is not a tram service. -Pedro 19:56, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of File:San Babila Milano (exterior view).jpg edit

The file File:San Babila Milano (exterior view).jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused, low quality, replaceable with files at c:Category:San Babila (Milan) - Facade.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 11:12, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
