Page moves

edit

Hi Sakhan. Can you please stop making undiscussed page moves, our agreed format is state + "cricket team". If you have a different opinion on this then please raise it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Cricket and it can be discussed. Continued page moves are counterproductive. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Marc Robinson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Made in India. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks for uploading File:Mumbai Cricket association Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:46, 17 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Kabaddi at the South Asian Games

edit

Hi, I'm Robvanvee. Sakhan14j, thanks for creating Kabaddi at the South Asian Games!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The article is an orphan and needs sources. Otherwise good job!

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Robvanvee 18:02, 30 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Mukesh Rishi , but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 11:01, 30 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Vinod Rathod, without citing a reliable source using an inline citation that clearly supports the material. The burden is on the person wishing to keep in the material to meet these requirements, as a necessary (but not always sufficient) condition. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Fylbecatulous talk 16:59, 6 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 03:14, 13 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

WP:TVCAST

edit

Re: this, "Former" is not a valid subsection of cast. Actors don't stop being noteworthy simply because they're no longer on the series. Per WP:TVCAST, we organise cast by their introduction into the series, so Shinde belongs above Poorey in the cast list. If you plan to edit TV articles you should familiarise yourself with our Manual of Style for Television as well as our infobox instructions as these represent widespread community preferences. If you deviate from them, you would need to establish a local consensus through discussion. Deviating on your own accord is very likely to be considered disruptive over time, because it requires volunteer time to repair changes that are not consistent with our guidelines. Thanks and regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:10, 9 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Sakhan14j this "Others" is also not a valid subsection of cast. Sid95Q (talk) 16:53, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Disruptive page moves

edit

Don't make disruptive page moves. The articles for almost all sports, not just cricket, are at yyyy–yy not yyyy/yy. IF you disagree with this then take it up at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Cricket. I see that you have been warned about disruptive moves before. Next time you will be blocked. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 09:15, 30 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

No personal attacks

edit

Sakhan, re: these responses, editors need to have a relatively thick skin if they plan to participate at Wikipedia. If some random person starts cursing at you on your talk page, you should probably just ignore them, rather than flipping out and retaliating. Personal attacks are not tolerated at Wikipedia, and that typically includes retaliatory responses as well. The other editor has been reprimanded. Please keep a level head when editing.
