Them and Us

The point of an article is not what they say about themselves. It's more what independent reliable sources WP:RS say about them. Then fill in the picture with something based on what they themselves say (but it mustn't be closely paraphrased - preferably it should be fresh and original). If there aren't any RS, there's no point in writing about them. You are/were rather too close to the website's wording. And gave no RS. It'll probably go, as it stands (may have gone - I'm tending sausages as well as typing this). If it does, find the RS. Then build the article around those. Cheating? Maybe. Who cares? If we get an article that belongs, all well and good. If there's no RS, try again when there are. If this sounds like I'm talking to a beginner, my apologies. Usually, I am talking to beginners. Please help me out vs. deletionist approach on a Thai stub

Hi there! I found your name among Active members of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Thailand. Could you help me out in defending the notability of M-150 (energy drink) as an admin is apparently unhappy with its notability despite the sources I have provided to try to save the article. If you speak Thai (I only superficially understand it due to my basic understanding of Lao), any source you could provide would also really help and maybe induce some people to modify their deletionist editing bias. I quit Wikipedia for years as I was spending more time defending legitimate edits from rule extremists than contributing legitimate edits. I hope you can take a minute or two to help me out on this. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!
