NRL numbers edit

I agree with the principle, an NRL player has no right on a shirt number over a season. It does however help to illustrate run-on sides, whether a player normally plays right or left centre, whether they are normally in the first XVII on a regular basis. It helps to flesh out the infobox was the main reason for doing it. Londo06 20:26, 7 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Important vote at wiki-project rugby league edit

Many people have been working hard on getting a new infobox up and running and we would like to have your thoughts on the subject here.  CorleoneSerpicoMontana  07:21, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Belgium national rugby league team edit

Hi Rugbyhelp - you wrote: I created the page Belgium national rugby league team (and didn't do too poorly I think) then saw on my watchlist: "(Deletion log); 01:21 . . Grutness (talk | contribs) deleted "Belgium national rugby league team" (G7: One author who has requested deletion or blanked the page: mea culpa)" The page was not, in fact, deleted, but I was hoping that you could explain to me what exactly did happen.

Sheer coincidence - I'd made a page with that title shortly before you did. I found a stub called Belgium Rugby League, and found that {{rl}} would only work if the page was called Belgium national rugby league team - so I made a redirect at that title. As soon as I did, I realised that that should be a completely different article, so I deleted the redirect I'd made. You started your article on the same subject three hours later. So no, I wasn't deleting the article you made, and I'm glad that someone who knows something about Belgian RL was able to write an article on it! Cheers from across the ditch, Grutness...wha? 06:59, 30 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sonny Bill Williams edit

When you have a minute, could you please take a look at the Sonny Bill Williams article. The statistics in his infobox look way off ... eg 49 tries from 35 appearances for NZ and 122 tries from 130 appearances for the Bulldogs. After going through recent edits, it seems that these stats have been in the infobox for quite a while. I assume you know of some website which carry up to date figures for rugby league players so if you could fix this that would be great. Cheers. Jevansen (talk) 04:03, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Russia edit

Hi Rugbyhelp, I've uncategorized Russia national rugby league team outside the category Rugby League in Europe because all national teams (including England and France) are only in the category of their country (in this case Rugby league in Russia, that is a subcategory of Rugby league in Europe). But if the agreement of rugby league wikipedians is what you have done, I accept this. Cheers. --Puigsacalm (talk) 13:04, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nick Youngquest edit

Okay, I hear you in that the 2010 squads should be retained, at least for now, but Gareth Raynor is in the 2010 squad, why has he been taken out?

Ymron (talk) 06:54, 18 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Don't know about Gareth. I suppose that it is because the box was updated during the season but after Raynor's conviction. Unlike Nick, Gareth was not part of the "final" squad. Rugbyhelp (talk) 04:34, 22 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Apple Pope edit

The article Apple Pope has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

North American Rugby league player who fails WP:NSPORTS#Rugby league, in so far as Rugby league is a minor amateur sport in North America and playing for ones national side is no indication of any form of notability or passing WP:GNG

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Speedy deletion nomination of Seoul Survivors Rugby Football Club edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Seoul Survivors Rugby Football Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 08:24, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
