Re: DC Comics characters-related edit

I have been not that active as of recently. So I am sorry for the delay. I am assuming this is the new Batwoman of the show. If she is original of the Arrowverse and not of the comic books just yet. She probably fits in with where she is at at the time being. As for Red Arrow...I am not sure why he keeps being redirected. I will check into it. Jhenderson 777 00:52, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ok I see what is going on. They are demanding sources for notability and analysis on Red Arrow (comics) which is quite unnecessary IMO to be that extreme on a set-index of characters code name that are already deemed notable. Though you could maybe borrow some sources of those characters I am thinking. Jhenderson 777 01:11, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Batwoman episode summaries edit

Hi -- Sorry to be heavy-handed with undoing your last edit. The problem was that you added 50 or so words and I was at 195. I do respect your input (particularly as you have more knowledge of the comics) but in this case I would have to cut 50 words and it made more sense to cut all of what you added. When we are at the limit, could you make much shorter edits so I could see what I would need to fit to get in what you want? 73.238.132.13 (talk) 21:38, 29 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Call Outs and Mistakes. edit

I apologize for calling you so many times recently, but you have been making a lot of mistakes I didn't think you were capable of. Putting in every single little detail no matter how unnecessary is one thing, but removing commas, lumping a character with a group even though they have no association with them (I'm referring to you lumping Gaisoulg with the Druidon for whatever reason by the way), treating Wikipedia like a fan site (in this case, I'm referring to that highly unprofessional ellipses you put in the Invincible episode 4 plot summary) and apparently continuing to violate MOS:TVPLOT based on one of the previous messages in your talk page, among other edits. I don't know what's going on, but I'm asking you to please be more mindful of Wikipedia's rules and your fellow editors. I concede that you have made some good edits, but more often than not, you seem to forget that Wikipedia is a professional website and that it needs to be treated as such. Once, again, I'm sorry for calling you out and if I seem angry, but I just want what's best for Wikipedia and our fellow editors. Blazewing16 (talk) 04:56, 5 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Syonide edit

The article Syonide has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Gotham City edit

Do not add uncited material to articles, as you did with the paragraphs on the GC Police Department you added with this edit to Gotham City. You should know by now that Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation.

In addition, do not boldface the names of mayors or any other character in the article. Such terms should not be boldfaced, and is an overuse of that formatting. Nightscream (talk) 03:09, 9 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Rtkat3, you need to stop adding material uncited material to articles, and that includes material that constitutes your personal interpretation of the content of a work of fiction. With regard to material about the content of narrative works that is evaluative, analytical or interpretive, the source must be a secondary source, and it must explicitly mention the information in relation to the work in question. Relying instead on personal observation or interpretation is original research, and using primary sources to form conclusions not explicitly in those sources is synthesis, which is a form of original research.
At issue is the first two sentences of the passage you added on Gotham City mayors:

Due to the volatile nature of Gotham politics, turnover of mayors and other city officials is high. The first Gotham mayor depicted in comics was unnamed, but appeared as a caricature of New York mayor Fiorello La Guardia.

The source you cited for this was Batman #12, which is the comic itself. Was it explicitly mentioned somewhere in the comic that the mayor was intended as a caricature of LaGuardia? And where was it mentioned that turnover was high? How do you know these are not simply separate continuities or stories that ignore what came before, as so many writers do in comics? Plus, many of the books you cited were those from across the decades, which means you're citing stories from pre-Crisis, post-Crisis, and God knows whatever other continuities or reboots. This sort of comment needs to come from an authoritative secondary source.
You've accumulated over 124,000 edits since 2005. You should know this by now. Nightscream (talk) 02:18, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Charles McNider is the "real" Doctor Mid-Nite. Really? Adding unnecessary material and disrespecting Wikipedia's rules is one thing, but misogyny? I thought you were better than that. Come on! Beth Chapel is just as much a "real" Doctor Mid-Nite as Charles McNider is. They are both equally great and "real". For me at least, there is NOTHING that sets either one apart in one way or another. Re: Baron Blitzkrieg edit

I meant to message you about this earlier, but I digress. Anyway, I undid your edits in the Baron Blitzkrieg page because not only is the Stargirl entry a trivial non-appearance, but the fact that you didn't incorporate bullet points made it look like the Stargirl version and Arrow version are both the same version. Not only that, the way you wrote the Stargirl entry violated WP:NPOV to a massive degree with your use of "...he didn't bother to say anything..." and "...he finally told her in this episode..." It sounded like you were angry that Pat Dugan didn't say what happened to Blitzkrieg and that you were angrily relieved when Dugan said something about it in a later episode. You're essentially saying, "That IDIOT Pat Dugan FLAT OUT REFUSED to say what happened to my favorite character, Baron Blitzkrieg." and "In this episode, that idiot Pat FINALLY said what happened to Blitzkrieg AT LONG LAST." Wikipedia is supposed to be neutral. You cannot put any emotional bias into your work at all. In talk pages, it's fine because we're meant to be emotional in some way. When writing character pages, plot summaries, and the like, it is meant to be neutral. No personal bias towards good guys over bad guys and vice versa, no sign of exasperation, anger, or other emotions over a character's actions, no emphasis on certain words in any way. Blazewing16 (talk) 04:32, 24 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Minor Appearances edit

I meant to tell you about this earlier, but anyway, there's actually a Wikipedia rule (the name of which escapes me) that says we're actually NOT supposed to be listing episode appearances at all. The most we're supposed to bring up is why the TV show, film, or video game version of the character is different from the comics version. Since nobody's enforcing that "no episode appearances at all" rule to a major degree, the next best thing is no minor appearances. Major appearances involving their character history if it differs from the comics version, story arc within the media, and substantial contributions to the show's arc or narrative seem to be fine as near as I can tell, but we're not supposed to add minor appearances, especially if they amount to "this character did this really minor thing that has nothing to do with the series' narrative." We are not here to list every single episode appearance that a character makes. Technically, we're not supposed to at all, but failing that, please only list the major appearances. Nabu is not real world notable? edit

Now how does your revision make any sense? You reverted my Nabu page back to being a redirect on something regarding "real world notability". How is Nabu, as a character, not fitting of this? You have pages on the majority of those who held the very object he is connected to, is a major supporting character in the Doctor Fate comics, is partly an adaptation of the Mesopotamian god of the same name, and is easily the most recognizable character of the "Lords of Chaos and Order" group. There are pages of characters who have similar roles to Nabu in both DC Comics and otherwise even and some aren't even characters who appeared in even other media yet pages of them have been made and they're considered of "Low-importance".
