Old postcards/image files

Good afternoon, Roundhere44-

Thanks for the interesting old postcards/image files you've uploaded from the 1870s–1910s. I noticed you licensed them as non-free "Fair Use": however, images published in the U.S. before 1923 are now out of copyright and public domain. The correct free license to use in this case is {{PD-US}}, so I've changed these three accordingly:

• File:1875 Marriage Certificate.jpg
• File:Postcard of Asbury Park and Ocean Grove Railroad Station, NJ 1908.jpg
• File:Ocean Grove Post Card.jpg

I left File:Gettysburg PA Major General Meade-postcard.jpg alone, because the publication date ("1900s") is uncertain. If it's before 1923, it too should be changed to {{PD-US}}. On the other hand, if it's post-1923 (and therefore truly non-free), then it would not meet our fair use guidelines for a non-free image—the statue still stands at Gettysburg and is therefore replaceable by a free photograph.  JGHowes  ^talk 17:08, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
