Sources

Hi again. Did you get the e-mail I sent you on May 3 re acceptable sources and edits for Prem Rawat? I have given you a lot to consider, but as long as you got it OK and it's in the pipeline, that's fine. Rumiton (talk) 11:36, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Yes, I did get your e-mail. My apologies for not having written you back sooner. I'll need to check out the sources you proposed and see if I think any are usable. — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 20:28, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
Me again, Rich. I hate to keep nudging you like this, but I really can't proceed with my appeal until I get more clarity on this subject. Did you find some time to look further? Rumiton (talk) 05:01, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
Replied by e-mail, as best I feel I can without digging so deeply into this topic that I might become heavily involved with it (something I really choose not to do). — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 05:48, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Rich. Most helpful, if not exactly what I would have liked to hear. :) Rumiton (talk) 06:04, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

File:Kreetassan Apology Closeup.jpg listed for deletion

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Kreetassan Apology Closeup.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. —Justin (koavf)TCM 23:33, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Note to self: I commented on the above, proposing that the image be kept because "This screen shot illustrates the climactic scene of the Star Trek: Enterprise episode in which it appears." This was one of a batch of several dozen nearly identical deletion proposals, and many people have been commenting that most fair-use images in Star Trek episode articles are not really necessary (and, therefore, do not satisfy our requirements for use of non-free content). — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 01:34, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
Another note to self: I commented at Koavf's talk page about whether it was a good idea to nominate a large batch of Star Trek images for deletion all at the same time, and whether a larger community discussion ought to take place before these deletion proposals are acted on. Koavf and I will apparently need to "agree to disagree" on this matter. — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 01:38, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 28

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shalakho, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Native American (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 15:17, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Note to self: I fixed this issue using the Dab Solver tool. — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 17:07, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions

We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:

Views/Day
Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
Quality
Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.

The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:

Content
Is more content needed?
Headings
Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
Images
Is the number of illustrative images about right?
Links
Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
Sources
For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
