• WP:What Wikipedia is not - in particular, the sections on "not a directory," "not a crystal ball," and "not a newspaper."
• WP:Biographies of living persons ("BLP"s) - in particular, the section on "Reliable sources" (especially the subsections about primary/self-published sources).
• Primary, secondary and tertiary sources - A BLP requires secondary sources.
• WP:Verifiability - in particular, the section on "What counts as a reliable source."
