RE: Liawenee

For the climate you will need some thing like this to use as a cited source rather then just basing it on data/numbers (as you did here) as it's called original research. Also you may have created the article but it doesn't give you ownership of it. With http://www.australianweathernews.com/snow/Snow%20days%20descending.htm I would deem as unreliable as even the red note in the page states that it's not reliable. Bidgee (talk)

I was only stating just in-case you may have not known. ;) Nothing on the Bureau of Met on the climate nor has a Google search been of any help. You could look at a local library which may have some books on the history and may the climate if you're lucky. I have a resource (A regional library and archive) for my area (The Riverina district) but I just don't have the time to do the researching anymore! You may want to also checkout http://newspapers.nla.gov.au/ which has a large online archive (still growing) of newpapers dating from the 1800s to 1950s. Bidgee (talk) 12:40, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Hey there - this guideline will go into more detail, but the essence of it is [[File:Example.jpg|thumb|right|250px|CAPTIONTEXTHERE]] where "Example.jpg" is the filename it has been uploaded to Wikipedia under and "CAPTIONTEXTHERE" is the caption text. If you plan to upload, please ensure it is free use (i.e. your own work or work released under Creative Commons) or, if copyrighted, it meets our fair use criteria. The image actually comes from this page. Google images just indexes images from web pages all over the web. Taking a look at that website, I cannot find any statement of their copyright policy. Under Wikipedia policy (and U.S. law), images are assumed to be fully copyrighted unless the creator of the image specifically releases the image under a free license or into the public domain. The only suggestion I can give you would be to contact the operator of the website and inquire about releasing the article in such a way. Keep in mind though, many organizations are only willing to release an image under the terms that it be used for "non-commercial" or "educational" use only. Those types of releases are not acceptable on Wikipedia, as they are incompatible with the GFDL and CC-BY-SA 3.0, the licenses under which content on Wikipedia is released. Since this site is the work of Australians it is automatically copyrighted (Much like the US), even without the copyright marks or policy on the site. When you see a file that was created in 1955 and onwards (IE: 2010) then unless it states that it's in the public domain or Creative Commons Attribution/ShareAlike (though be careful with some site as people can tend to rip off copyrighted work and claim it as there own) but if it was created before 1955 then it is in the public domain (Use {{PD-Australia}}, but also note that sites such as the National Archive of Australia, Victorian Archives ect will claim that it is copyrighted since they digitised the image however this is some thing that is being debated not just here in Australia but also a few other counties overseas).
