Hello sorry if I didn’t leave a reason well the reason is the article is poorly sourced I also was talking to another editor about it the sites which they took those histories from which I removed are sites that spreads misinformation like the current edit on the Warri page I plead that you remove all I have removed and make edit based on legit sources and not fake sites and history without source Repair it (talk) 01:21, 11 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

January 2023 edit

Welcome! edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Kingdom of Warri, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless used with permission. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

Hello yes I added references to my edits done in kingdom of warri can you please point out where I may have missed a reference? Repair it (talk) 10:59, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

The content you added was copied from another website, and thus was a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy. Please don't add copyright material to Wikipedia. — Diannaa (talk) — Diannaa (talk) 23:26, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I added references from where I got it from not from a website but from the book in google book I can also refer you to go there and see it yourself it was quoted from the book not a website the website you attached is the one who copied it from that book because everything I got was directly from the book and I cite it properly by including the name of the author the page of the passage I got the reference from google books Warfare in Atlantic Africa, 1500-1800
By John Kelly Thornton directly from his book Repair it (talk) 11:54, 14 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Regardless of whether you got it from a book or a website, it's not okay to copy someone else's prose into Wikipedia. It's a violation of our copyright policy to do so. — Diannaa (talk) 15:30, 14 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Image sizing edit

Per WP:IMAGESIZE, it's not a good idea to use fixed pixel sizes for images; this prevents us from automatically sizing the image proportially to the readers device (desktop, mobile, etc). OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:15, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oh I changed the size because the image was too small for people to point out locations and details in the pictures so I had to resize it as I saw the instructions in the Wikipedia page of image size I just followed the instructions there to make the edits you can help make it better if I didn’t do it properly Repair it (talk) 21:25, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
