File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Jessy mendiola.JPG edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Jessy mendiola.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 06:57, 27 March 2011 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 06:57, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:WS 1296890730.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:WS 1296890730.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 11:55, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Tasha Paner edit

Hi RedTube,

I've deleted Tasha Paner as a result of the WP:BLPPROD placed upon it. Since you're both new here (I think!) and seem interested in improving Wikipedia, I wanted to let you know in more straightforward language what that's all about, and how it might be undone.

We're working harder these days at making sure articles, and in particular, biographies of living people, are based on reliable, secondary sources. These are generally things such as newspaper articles and books which talk about the person. Self-published material, such as MySpace or Facebook pages are considered self-published and are not reliable sources of neutral information about the person. Even sites such as Wikipedia itself and IMDB are not considered reliable sources of information for this purpose, since in both cases much of the information is provided by user contributions.

But don't lose hope--not all is lost. If you can point me at a couple reliable sources of information about Tasha, etc, that provide more than just passing coverage (e.g., more than her name in a list of names, etc., sources that really tell us something about her), well, drop me a line at my Talk page, and we can talk about whether the sources are reliable enough for me to undelete the article for you so that you can add those sources, and have a better article as a result.

I know the policy stuff is pretty dense, but let me point you at three resources that might help make sense of this. WP:RS introduces our consensus about reliability of sources, and WP:BLP talks about some of the reasons why we take particular care with biographies. If you're trying to figure out whether a particular source might be considered reliable or not, of course I'm always ready to help, but you can also ask for opinions at WP:RSN in particularly unclear circumstances.

I hope to hear from you! --joe deckertalk to me 17:47, 6 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Kukutukukukoy.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Kukutukukukoy.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 04:30, 2 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Dyan Hortaleza singing.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Dyan Hortaleza singing.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:17, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
