Hi RedsRock. Not every image you see used on Wikipedia is licensed the same way and how a file is licensed pretty much determines how it may be used. Files licensed as non-free content are particularly tricky to use because each use of the file must satisfy Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. The sports team mascot logos you're adding to individual season articles are licensed as non-free content. The non-free use of such logos is generally considered OK in the main article about a school athletic teams, but pretty much never considered acceptable for use in individual team articles.
