Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedily deleted because it constitutes a backup of original material that is not available anywhere else on the web.

As stated in the deletion discussion for the WRS article, little external documentation of WRS seems to exist. In this discussion, User:SJK suggested that the article might have been written mostly by one of the authors of WRS.

While I agree that the article did not meet Wikipedia's quality requirements, the information compiled on this user subpage might be of unique use to me and my students in writing new articles or extending existing articles on human-computer interaction concepts. I would be happy to add a disclaimer and comment at the top of the page so nobody can confuse this with a normal article. --Raphman (talk) 16:33, 28 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I agree with not deleting this user page. Even though it is a backup copy of a deleted article, it is of genuine historical interest. (For what it is worth, I was the person who nominated the article for deletion.) However, I should note that backup copies exist elsewhere, e.g. [1] and [2]. SJK (talk) 08:35, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the comment and the links. There is also a print-on-demand book sold on Amazon that seems to contain the WRS article, and a few similar Quora posts by the (presumed) author of WRS. Raphman (talk) 11:51, 31 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
